A full ungulate heavy year + barnyard will do that to ya.So 2 cats, 1 monkey and 1 ungulate so far and I'm already seeing complaints about too many ungulates?
It’s hard watching the golden child sometimes, I know it isn’t ungulates fault Frontier likes them so much.
But, if we get a bird or two I’ll be over the moon!
They have Monals, Yak, Tahr and Vicuna (not the most exciting picks tbh)

We’ve seen JWE2 get several budget cuts at the end of their support so the fact that they could’ve cut this as well but gave us a FREE animal in the first place shouldn’t be something we blow to the ground. It’s literally free, if you don’t want it don’t use it, if you do want it then happy birthday to you it’s free.

Casual animal people love the "big ticket" animals like big cats. Zoo nerds like us like the lesser known unique animals...but it's unrealistic to think the bulk of people share our views.
We don't know... maybe we'll see something at Christmas... but if not, there's no telling that there won't be new DLC (this time on console and PC at once). Perhaps they'll keep making new content until Planet Zoo 2 is announced? JWE2 basically had a short time between the last pack and the announcement of JWE3, so anything is possible....
Although, I was expecting a secretary bird (because of the dictionary mainly too, besides markhor was in the dictionary too).... To my mind, it's not the last pack, as this is the game that has been in development the longest (under JWE or PC).... In my opinion, if they were to actually end support, they would have said so by releasing e.g. a bigger package or something else in the game.... As indeed all games have had (something deviating from the norm, JWE = pteranodons, PC = a bigger package)
I personally enjoy the markhor and the baboon, the cat is a nice addition too.... It's nice that the african lampart will be free, because I can't hide, I was waiting for it....
I wonder when we will find out what other animals are in the DLC...
Himalayan Monal and Yak will be amazing pick, Tahr I wanna void due to Markhor.
Don't let this become a Arid 2.0 with a cat, primate, bird and all the other ungulates!

I'm not a fan of the african leopard overall, at the point that despite african leopards being a core specie in the Dier zoo lore, i have no interest to build for them. But the specie have it "fanbase" and it's definetelly have some love among the more casual players.
I love how the alpine marmot is a tail less beaver/ fat prariedog, but at the same time the african leopard is defended.
Ofcourse not by the same person but it really shows how different people tick regarding newcomers to the game
Here's my hope for the roster if this is not the final pack:
- Pallas cat
- Hamadryas baboon
- Markhor
- Pika or rock hyrax
- Tibetan fox
- Mountain hare
- Ruddy shelduck
- Instead of an exhibit animal, some Tibetan themed scenery as pictured
Well we did pay for it, 2 years ago in the conservation pack, remember?
They're all visually very different from the animals we already have, and they behave differently.
Meanwhile a marmot is just a beaver minus the tail and the swimming and the beaver pool enrichment... Or, if you wanna, a big prairie dog minus the burrowing mechanic. Plus it just looks boring
I'm thinking of the pack after this being the final with a total of 20 DLC'S and the final being Zookeeper collection in Christmas with Secretary, African Spurred, Sifaka and Echidna.
My apologies I didn’t realize those 3 people are the only ones in the entire community that wanted it, props to you that you knew what everyone that plays this game wanted.
