mmm confirm no, but the silhouette does look asian shaped to me.
I would also expect to see tusks if the elephant's aren't the Asian species

australasia is functionally old world with all relevant fauna aligning closer with old world groupings than new world. It is basically just ignored through when talking old vs new world
its an 100% asian elephant we just cant agree on which im still under the assumption its an india pack and its the indian elephant.
Don't we already have the Indian Elephant?
We do, some people think it's like the Arctic Pack having American bison in the keyart. I'm on the side that supports this being a second Asian elephant subspecies (Sri Lankan)
yes that the key argument whether or not its a new elephant or not otherwise everyone would agree its the indian
give up on any ideas this isn’t an India pack, it obviously is. Maybe South Asia, but still it’s India.
I feel like South Asia is to close to South East Asia. Might create some confusion.
I have to admit... even though India seems obvious, the big focus on the river and the safari lodge has me kind of confused. Honey badger and lion tailed macaque doesn't fit at all with a riverside or river safari or freshwater or whatever pack. I guess india is well known for the Ganges as well...
Also what has me very worried is the amount of extreme clones we could get with this one (with one already in the cover... and no i don't think they are just for filling up space, their enrichment items are also very clearly showcased along with them, so yeah we are deffinetly getting them, you all should be preparing yourselves for that). But yeah tons of dreadful clones: indian leopard, mugger crocodile, asiatic lion (although wouldn't hate this one), sarus crane, etc...

Clones aren't necessarilly bad, but it depends on which ones we get.
Asiatic lions, mugger crocs and indian leopards? would be very boring

I see you clearly didn't even actually read what I wrote. As I said the problem comes from the middle word being the only word changed it would be like saying north west america and north east america are clear and distinct pack names from each other. A pack name should not be easily confused for another pack and either need to be unmistakably different regions or unmistakable in name.
There's also the Indus that's right around the Indian Subcontinent
I don't want to guarantee that its India, but I also don't understand why people are doubting it so much. 2 headliners are from India. Elephant in the background is an INDIAN elephant (either new subspecies or the indian elephant, either way it represents the country), the river represents the Ganges or waterways in India, and India/Asia architecture in the background. I know some of the pack arts before have gave us a run for our money but this one just seems as straightforward as it can be. Even the colour is similar to Asia like the SEA pack that was purple very similarly. Everything to me points to India so thats what I'm sticking with for now.
The lack of cats disappoints me.
I'm sorry but the sarus crane is just as boring as getting another flamingo. It looks almost the same as the red crowned crane only uglier.
There's a huge difference between those two concepts that make a huge difference; one is a region, the other is a country.
