Can this mean that I can now end my fruitless search for an upgrade to my Eagles power plant? I hope so

I was building a list of stations with gear. Specifically class 2 grade A power plant in Kabijao for your Eagle if you're near that system. Not perfect, but better than stock. Nearby system Allo has good life support too...Didn't realize you can go 25 min on an upgraded one. ...if your search has really been that bad, maybe that'll help.
 
Launcher won't launch

Get an error window saying - Failed to synchronise time with server. The application will now exit.

anyone else had or getting this?

Now if only they could fix where certain commodities were more available in different systems so that trade runs could me more lucrative.

Actually, the trading is improved over 1.04 for me, but it would be nice to see a more robust and diverse set of trades available. Spotting trades with good return runs is a big help and it seems like there's an over abundance of refinery/extraction and some commodities aren't even traded. Lot of room to improve, but getting a little better... at least where I am.

WIth Gamma 1.05 the seling chart data is setting balance to zero.

Open cartography
Sell first system balance is updated correctly
Second and subsequent sales end up with zero balance

Exit cartography, go to station services and back to cartography
Sell first item updates the balance to sort of correct and every other sale sets it back to zero.

Seems that each zero sale is also not getting back to update the real balance so 60k of charts may get you 5 k
 
Does anybody want some waste? Accepted a mission, memorized the starport but not the system. Cannot flush it since it is 'mission critical'.

By the way, there was a second interdiction attempt attempt with music but nothing happening.

Um... if you go to your left-side nav pannel and scroll thru the tabs it should show the details of all your active missions. Did that get taken away in 1.05 ??????

This ^. No it didn't get taken away. It's been there for an awfully long time. :)
 
Played it for an hour, looks stable, FPS good. Controls were not reset (yes!).

Noticed a few things though, also things from earlier versions.
- landing does not always pick up that landing signal and you cannot land in any way. Have to cancel docking and request again. This happens frequently, say 1 out of 3, 4.
- not clear what heading a landing pad accepts. 50% of the time I am pointing the wrong way and have to wait a tedious minute as the spaceship slowly rotates around its Z axis.
- under the radar there is a tiny yellow line flashing at random, clearly an artifact. Saw this earlier.
- somebody or a bot tried to interdict me. The sound began to play, but it never came to an interdiction attempt. Had the sound until landed though. Engle starport 15 minutes ago if you keep logs @dev.
- the galaxy map is a little bit difficult to use. Maybe it's just me, to me its too flashy. I'd like to have an interface without fancy jumping and zooming and also not a grid that scrolls with my viewpoint but a steady one, 3D maybe. The galaxy browser in Elite2 Frontier (yes, grandpa here) was very easy to use. Now I don't know where I am or where I was. It would also be nice to see past travels, some kind of a log.

Nevertheless E:D is a great game. :D

You can view your missions in the pop up window on your left hand side in the ship, it is one of the tabs
 
Hi everyone,

Gamma 1.05 is now live. The change log is as follows:

Crash Fixes
- Fix for crash seen during processing of the render queue

Tweaks and general fixes
- Fix for sudden Starport rotation jumps
- Fix for game time getting out of sync between clients
- Fix for multiple stars having same system address
- Fix for not being able to purchase ships even when player has enough money tied up in their current ship to part exchange
- Added resource loading failure reports
- Added telemetry to help investigate why resource overlays sometimes get into a dead state

Server updates
- Players should once again be eligible for their own stock allocation of rare goods instead of sharing one with everybody shopping at that Station
- Outfitting shops throughout inhabited space should now stock a greater variety of internal modules
- Start creating news articles when minor factions change state in response to Commanders' actions and inactions.
- Minor improvements to server reliability, user presence and matchmaking

I think the trading may be working just fine. I can't see the advantage in any market of vast profits for buying and selling goods as supply and demand work to even things out. I have seen the items I have sold reduce the price at a station which is to be expected. Also looking at the number of ships going in/out of a station I wonder what some haulers have delivered and which prices they have impacted on. If I leave a station alone for a few days the prices creep back up (of the things I haul anyway).

What is not yet 100% is the landing at some stations. At Lave (Warious) and Leesti (George Lucas) today the landing radar did not function and I had to leave and try again. My second attempt at Warius also resulted in my ship being back to front on the radar so I had to land facing wrong way (I wonder if this might be caused by my landing technique of coming in with my ship vertical and in the last few meters doing a 90 deg to land).

Anyway I am doing way better than I did 30 years ago so don't knock the game it really is rocket science :)

Trading make be working, the trade data isn't. It is broken.
In some situations it indicates export to/import from relationships where the 'exporter' buys for more than the 'importer' sells. In other words, it is backwards.
And this isn't a temporary, market fluctuation issue, it is constant and repeatable over several days.

I thought I'd update...

Given time and a restart of my PC; I can jump from system to system now, so I continued on my way without dropping connection once. A most enjoyable night in fact.
I can use my fuel scoop, although sometimes it does fail to scoop, so I jump to another star very close by and it seems to work. I've been very lucky so far I think with that. I haven't tried re-logging when it fails, but will try that when it refuses to work again. But I have to say that it keeps me alert to the fuel indicator and often forces me to jump lesser distances, just in case.
I refuel at every opportunity now.

Other than that these updates seem to settle after a while or FD are tweaking while the servers areonline, so on the next update I'll wait for 24hrs before moaning. :)

On a side note...
Interdiction by planets and stars seems to be bugged with the escape vector not lining up with the visual effects which give you a sense of direction and sometimes your pulled out almost immediately when very close to the planet or star. May need a couple of hammer blows on the server. ;)
 
Nice one. I've now been able to kit out my Sidewinder with an upgraded power plant and FSD for the first time giving me nearly 12ly unladen jump range.
 
well, this is getting slightly annoying, another day another bug fix set out into the wild, how dare you keep tweaking, i'm trying to get some sleep dammit. I'm trying to get to work on time, you are not making it easy, neither are you doing my relationship any good as there is now a constant moaning coming from the game about needing a second GPU and an Occulus rift, oh wait that must be me making that noise.

I can't comment on anybody else's experience but i'm getting 5-6 hours a night unbroken gameplay, I am however billing FD for new glasses, Piles cream and a new chair to sit on. Oh and rushing into the larger stations from SC is NEVER getting tiring.
