I can't full screen a youtube video if it's embedded. All my default programs have changed.
That might be a global issue. I can't full screen an embedded youtube video either, and I'm on Win7 with IE10.

I had it the other way round. Updated my atom based surface 3 just fine (no surprise, it's a M$ product). Then i updated my gaming rig (Win 8.1).Bought a little Asus atom laptop to keep in the car for the OBD today. Cheap little thing but runs nice enough. It came with Windows 8.1. Upgraded it to Windows 10.
The touchpad doesn't work. Power management, brightness, volume, hibernate doesn't work. Bluetooth doesn't work so it can't connect to the OBD. Updating the drivers didn't fix anything.
Downgraded it to 8.1 and all works as intended. What a complete waste of time.
In the end i had to install windows 8 again and update it all the way to 8.1 with updates again.
I learned that i can upgrade from the iso only after i did all that. If you boot from CD you cannot upgrade because the windows 8 key is not accepted. If you run setup from the CD while running windows 8 you don't need the key and the win 8 key gets converted to a windows 10 key though.Sounds like you might have power issues there, check your PSU, connections and the life of your Hard Drives
Windows 8.1, despite what all the newsfeeds claim, isn't necessary - windows 8 is fine. I had turned of 8.1 update reminders and couldn't get them back (nor the update itself!) and after a while of irritated panicing, I just decided to run the Win10 installer to see what would happen and it worked fine. Activated and everything
I installed it from USB - made by the tool at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
When you do a fresh install using the ISO, what key do you enter? Can you use your original win 8 or win 7 key?
i prefer to do fresh installs rather than upgrades.

It doesn't take your Windows 7 or 8 key during install, I just skipped this process until the install was complete.
Once installed I put my Windows key in and it activated with no problems, however because of certain issues with the auto Software updates I had to re-install it several times and in the end I just never put a key in and it still activated
I thought is take advantage of the free upgrade while I browsed the forums and update my laptop, things went well at first all installed then keyboard on the laptop stopped working followed by several BSOD's and then just a nightmare
Ended up spending the rest of the night formatting the laptop and putting a fresh install on that.
Thanks OP. Without this thread I wouldn't have dared to upgrade. I had problems with the oculus driver, despite following the procedure posted at the rift forums (no headtracking and flickering). Looks like you have to go with runtime 6.0.0 and not 6.0.1 wich was working perfectly under win 7. Now everything is perfect. Still can't believe that the update worked as advertised. Kept all my programs and windows settings. Also i can confirm having lower latencyin elite and asset to corsa. Quite impressive improvement to be honest. Like OP said, you don't notice it until its gone. Can't wait to play tonight
Long story short: Get windows 10!
...on my system Oculus Runtime 5.0.1.0 runs out of the box (set installer to compatibility windows 8 before installing)...
@ warbaby2: what´s wrong with saitek X55? are you sure the issue isn´t on your or Saiteks side? (check usb power driver ect..sorry if this has been discussed before).
