Updated Permit List

Well Phekda was removed, so there's that. ;)

CQC system is the only one I don't have yet. Maybe one day I'll grind it out to level 50 and prestige to get it if there are new reasons to get it.

Yeah, but it's still on "my" list. Who knows...maybe one day. At least I got Isonor when it was available. ;)

Well there IS a reason for each of those places. I think once we see more features in place, we will see much more relevance to having these permits. They mentioned that there would be "engineers" that you would go to to get stuff crafted. Maybe some of them reside in a permit locked area. ;)

And once atmospheric planetary landings are possible, Isinor is at the top of my list of places to go visit. Paregrina (the "Plague World") being next. Gotta spread them germs around. xD

Did you get to ask any questions on permits?
Or more to the point, did you get any answers?

Non of the devs were there from what I was able to tell, but I did get a brief chance to talk to Edward Lewis, and I do mean brief because they were super ultra busy. Unfortunately the only tangible answer I got from the conversation was that "each of these permits are there for a reason" and that they haven't forgot about them. My general takeaway from the conversation, based on the non-verbals, (and this is speculation on my part) is that his inability to comment further (and some general comments he made) means that permits may possibly become much more relevant in this season than in the previous one. That was my general impression anyways.

Total guess: maybe some of these "Engineers" can only be accessed at some of these permit-locked places. :p

I did get his email to follow up though.....and he autographed my Pax Pass. ^_^

it would be nice if all permits had a point to them
so far I have been underwhelmed and disappointed to find nothing at all in these systems
it's like somethings they started but never finished...I thought the imperial capital would have something but NO
same as everywhere else.
not even some cap ships.

JOTUN
Faction: Dukes of Jotun
Rep Systems: Djaujang*, Caleta*, Blanquichu
Benefits: Access to Rare Good (Juton Mookah, 32x tons)
Note: Both systems have a station controlled by the dukes of Jotun.
Dukes of Jotun are in control of Blanquichu, one outpost here.
Not sure if it should be listed as a benefit, but the station in Jotun (Icelock) offers many charity/cash mission for the Federation. Icelock has no outfitting and no shipyard.

PEREGRINA
Faction: Peregrina Aristocrats
Rep Systems: HIP 18609*, KAGUTSUCHI*, HIP 19157
Benefits: none known
Note: Recommended system has a station controlled by Peregrina Aristocrats. That being said, Kagutsuchi and HIP 19157 do not give out the permit despite being controlled by the faction, but rather is given out in HIP 18609 (I suspect this has something to do with being more than 15LY from the permit system). Therefore, get allied in Kagutsuchi (unless you like traveling 5000 ls to the station), and then take a hauler to HIP 18609 when you are allied before moving on.
Peregrina Aristocrats are in control of the system HIP 19157, they control the station (MacLeod Horizon).

I'd call it a flaw in the BGS. Enough CMDRs spamming charity Fed donations at Jotun and the Dukes won't be in charge for long.
.
I've been spending much of the weekend (3 day one here in NZ) mining osmium for the CG at HIP 18609. I've been selling everythin not osmium at permit rep systems, and the nav data from the extensive travel I'm doing. So far it has earned me permits for Hodack, Luyten 347-14, and Tiliala, and I'm now working on Peregrina. Also, I'm mining a different pristine metallic system each trip, so the list of systems I've mined is going up rather nicely too.

I'm not sure how charity mission work, how they affect a factions influence. While on my "journey" I noticed a player faction - Neo Galactic Adventure Force. Just out of curiosity I googled them and in their forum someone said that charity missions are bad for their faction's influence (post #203, #205, #207).

TILIALA
Faction: Conservatives of Tiliala
Rep Systems: Varpet*, Bedaho* and Akandinigua*
Benefits: none known
Note: Recommended system has a station controlled by the "Conservatives of Tiliala".
Conservatives of Tiliala no longer are in control of Varpet. A faction called "The Black Fleet" controls the system, it is a player faction.

Yea, same. I strongly suspect we may see changes when 2.1 hits with the engineers update. Maybe some of these permit locked systems, like Facece, will have access to engineers that allow for unique modules (or types of upgrades) only available from them.

I read the last few pages, but couldn't find it. Any suggestions on how to get permits the fun (or fast) way? I got a lot of them from my previous exploration trip: 5 mil of exploration data gets you allied status and a permit. Now working with missions on the Tiliala permit, but not really enjoying it. Any other ways to gain influence fast (and or fun)?

- Combat zones (choosing the right faction): does this work?
- Killing wanted ships in a RES (?? if station nearby is owned by the right faction??): does that work?
- Mining and turning in at the right station? (How fast is this?)
- Trading and turning in at the right station (How fast is this?)
- Other suggestions?

(tips on how to improve influence, would also be a really nice fit in the first post of this thread)

Any specific tips for the following factions:
TILIALA
Faction: Conservatives of Tiliala
Rep Systems: Varpet, Bedaho and Akandinigua

PI MENSAE
Faction: Pi Mensae Brotherhood
Rep Systems: Alpha Chamaelontis, Walgan

HODACK
Faction: Hodack Prison Colony
Rep Systems: Amalangkan, Chuelchs and Dhathaarib

Thanks guys!

Since I enjoy doing missions, I do missions. :)
Usually it takes 2-3 days with ~3 hours each for me to become allied via missions, depending on the missions offered ofc.
Missions with "high" reputation reward work best, hence Kill/Combat Zone/Assassination missions are the fastest/best way to go.
For me handing in bounties worked good: ~2,5 Mil for friendly, ~5 Mil for allied
So if there is a RES in the system this is the fast way. Be careful since some factions that grant a permit are pirate/unfettered factions so don't kill any on them.
Trading should to the job too but you have to sell your stuff at a station that is controlled by the permit granting faction.

Limoncello Lizard had good success with mining.

CQC prestige shouldn't be a requirement for obtaining system permit(s)

I can ''swallow'' permit requirements that involve doing missions for factions, achieving certain ranks within fereration, empire and in general obtaining system permits by playing the main game but I can't swallow the cqc prestige requirement for a single system. I am NOT PLAYING CQC why on earth are you Frontier forcing me to play?? This is a veery sneaky tactic :mad:ARGGGGH:mad::mad:

Mining works well. I think it works off your profit: 2.5m = friendly, 5m = allied. So I think this is far faster than doing missions.
Faction: Pi Mensae Brotherhood

Faction: Hodack Prison Colony
I bounty hunted the Pi Mensae permit. Walgan has some good RES for this.
I mined the Hodack permit. Delkar is a close prostine metallic (12ly). The Hodack rep stations are all outposts, so you'll need a Python or smaller.
I also mined Tiliala. Delkar is the closest (69ly), so there may be better ways to do this.

They do that so that both players interested in CQC don't have to wait more than 6 hours to get a match...

Well then, Frontier should introduce PvE option in CQC so that they don't have to wait for 6 hours to get a match...
Most other MMORGs with an arena mode have an option for PvE...

I just got the Peregrina permit :)
It didn't show up for a while. Had to change stations and mode swap a couple of times before I got the invite.
Gratz! ;)
I visited multiple stations just to notice that the permit in only granted at HIP 18609 Kessel Legacy. :p
My next stop and the last permit is TILIALA. Heading there this weekend. Keen to see what impact "The Black Fleet" has in Vapret and the nearby systems.

Great advice, thanks! Will give mining a try (never did it before, haha)
