Break through SCBs instantly with modified railguns (Newletter 121)

I believe it is pointless, brother... the A,B,C of this game is not for everyone.
Even the devs have some problems understanding it.. or maybe ... they, simply, aren't playing their own game.

It just means I have to start another lobby campaign during the Beta like I've done before...

Hah...

I refuse to let the combat balance of this game be ruined by ignorance and inexperience.

This weapon is nuts! Are you serious FDev?
engineers are only for horizons owners right? This start to look like pay to win

I am waiting for a weapon that goes through shields and does hull damage. People would rage my shields are broken. This new weapon is lame but can't wait to test it.

Lame? This just means one would have to be crazy to bring a bigger more expensive ship to combat, I can already see all buthurt Anaconda/Corvette/Cutter pilots crying

"Ruined"

You haven't even tried it yet. [rolleyes]

It hasn't even gone into beta, nor have you given Frontier any opportunity to see how it plays out.

This is a one way process, you lot say how it is and Frontier have to follow?

This just looks like a complete waste of everyone's time, no way a weapon in this shape or form can exist. You don't need to have a lot of imagination to see where this will lead.

I'm waiting for the Cascade weapon that fries your thrusters if you're using them...

All of this Engineers stuff is gonna push people to either buy Horizons or leave the game.

It's obviously a conscious move to "force" people to make this decision... ie: These engineers could just as easily have been in special platforms...

I actually like the idea of this upgrade. It's a skills based item.

You have to be able to identify when the SCB's are recharging, have the ability to get into a position to actually aim and shoot and hit the target during that time period with a fixed rail gun.

This is not an insta-win button...it seems like the timing of the hit will be tricky.

Feels like it would give the PVP folks something to consider when building their ships...and allow for a personal check on your own shooting skills.

And yet you haven't even tried it yet.

True but I am going by what the details say and the video that went with it. I.e shoot target shields till they use a SCB then while its in use pop them with this weapon and bang shields down. What is it that's unclear from the video or text description that means I should try it first? Unless FD are not showing a true representation of it. I am sure that during the live stream they would have said it has a % chance of taking shields offline instantly, but they don't say that, hence my comment.

You can see them in use by a shield effect

You would be pretty *angry* if you spend a lot of materials on a useless mod like that and perks are random too, so you might end up with this lemon either you like it or not. No one ever will be using shields anymore if this rail gun is in game.

FD is slowly killing this game to me, instead balancing we will get RNG lottery, YEY *slow clap*

As you all can see here: This is a perfect example of why it's pointless to argue on this fortum.
A guy who clearly don't have any experience in pvp (or at fighting) start to shoot out opinions and give councils to pvp players.
Sadly it's not the only one.

There is nothing to say about this railgun, except that it's a stupidity. POINT.

If you are not able to understand WHY it is so, it mean that you need to spend more time learning how things work in a combat... and not vs a stupid AI.

I genuinely hope Frontier don't listen to your opinion, the opinion of people who think they already know all the answers and aren't willing to test things really isn't worth much very much.

What's there to test? You can clearly see what it does. I don't know who would even propose a weapon like this, crazy.

There! You die 10 sec later. Easy.
