Apparently the weight of your opinion is directly related to your level of investment, poor financial choices are made in the same area of the brain as game development knowledge or something.
There's a lot of cultists screaming "IT'S NOT A SCAM, SO CALLED DEREK !!!!" followed by "nobody said it was, who's Derek" which seems to be contributing a considerable amount of confusion.
Best part about the concierge top hat and monocle? You can't actually do anything with it (ie wear it) it just sits on the desk or wherever you place it. They exceeded your expectation even further than you thought.
Indeed - some of the more urm, enthusiastic, backers provide far, far more entertainment than the product itself.

The more I learn about this hideous frankencode beast the more I think we should kill it with fire, before it lays eggs.
You just don't understand game development. Top hat and monocle are absolutely required for immersive gameplay in a space sim, and the fact that you can't interact with them yet is simply a demonstration of the powers of refactoring. They just need to flip a switch.

I do have fond memories of putting top-hats and enormous mustaches on my sentient little yellow space-owls in spore. Now there's a game that was hyped a lot and had absolutely no replay value. It must have been because they forgot the monocles.
I stand before you suitably chastised.....you're right, I'm completely unfamiliar with Crowdfunding Simulator development.
I can understand that people who invested tremendous amount of money in to this feels the need to defend the project at all cause, also people who play the grey market thing.
But all average backers like me should yell at RSI constantly and demand working base core of the game - especially after money and time the developer have at this point.
Look, we don't want the project to crash, we want it to succeed - but with this delusional defending of everything that RSI is doing it will never be done.
Its like some people never played any ANY other games apart from current SC demo. Wake up!

The top comment is pretty funny...more correctly, "AT LEAST Steam gives you 2 hours of play time to return a FINISHED OR EARLY ACCESS game"
Unfortunately, with RSI, you are up river as soon as your card is charged.
Furthermore, SC can't go the steam route b/c you can't see what little is there in under 2 hours...what with all the "required" key rebindings, constant crashes and sludge-like frame rates.
Everything else in there is the standard character assassination that goes with those who don't have a leg to stand on....like Kotaku needs clicks b/c bankruptcy...lol, doesn't even understand how bankruptcy works.
