That reminds me of SC development though - Genuine Roberts has this really cool idea for something, and he wants it in the game. Take this USB thing. So it's going to USB from a 12v DC source? Where's it's upstream going to come from so it hubs out to those two ports? The washer nozzles? The rear window defroster perhaps? It's just like Exploration and Trade in Star Citizen. There isn't any
And no amount of hand-waving by Genuine Roberts, or bonkers theorycrafing and wish-fulfillment by "enthusiastic" backers is going to fix that 
Does it really seem they are in the process of doing that, though? All I've seen so far are tiny, barren planets with one or two points of interest like a base or crashed ship (plus glitchy sandworm). It took them weeks to build a 30 minute demo for CitizenCon, so I hope you're not expecting whole continents rich in unique, hand-crafted content that will take you months to explore. I expect there will be a very small number of POIs on a planet, just like in Elite, that are reused for many cookie-cutter missions. Plus some trees, and prettier sunsets.
So what exactly are you expecting these planets to offer that will make them so detailed and worth exploring and superior to Elite's? It sounds like you're imagining a game that even Roberts hasn't promised to deliver.

You need a "to the tune of" tag for your songs, some of us aren't so musically inclined and possibly a youtube link to said song. I think you've done enough parodies that someone should release a parody album (youtube again). C'mon, there must be enough musicians here to make it so!
