Hey,

While I'm indeed not actively updating EDEngineer, I'll always accept PRs for missing or new reference data such as blueprints or new materials. If you see that something is missing, triple check the correct ingredients/grade and update the blueprints.json file which I'll review and publish to every users. Be sure that the information you provide is correct as I will not check its truthfulness, only its syntaxic validity ; I want to limit the number of deployments as much as possible to avoid potential network/system/whatever errors :)

May come in handy....guess u could say im still a newb to this game. Started last yr but havent really gotten far with it as of yet. Just cam back to it the other day as i do like the game and do want to play it more, so i intend to get somewhere with it now :)

When EDE is on secondary display and you go back to single display between sessions, EDE still starts on the now non-existant screen.

Just downloaded this app and trying to get it to work.
Opens no problem and everything seems to function properly, except that all of the material/data counts are zero, when I have varying amount in actual inventory.

Tried running troubleshooting tips, but the file I need to modify I cannot find and the folder it tells me to look for does not exist.

Also, not sure if this is having an impact, but my Norton keeps removing a file with a exe.deploy name to it.


edit:

After looking around awhile, there is no:
manualChanges."username".json anywhere on my computer, which is what I need to find in order to fix my problem.

You shouldn't be needing the manual changes file, this is only required when you want to adjust your counters in case of a bug in the application. It's generated if you manually change values in the application by editing the number or by clicking the +/- buttons.

If all your counters are zero'd it means the app couldn't find your actual log files (the ones generated from the game). If you click on the dark blue folder path on the bottom right of the window it will allow you to change the path of the directory where the application is looking for the game's log.

What you need to do is find the log folder (which the application couldn't locate automatically because it's most likely in a non conventional location on your computer; like in a different drive than your main C:\ for instance) then click on that blue path and select the folder.

I have this running well for several months, but I just started getting the same popup today.

Not sure what the issue is as I haven't changed anything today. It loaded fine this morning, but now I'm getting the same problem and it won't load.

EDIT: It just re-loaded. I think it must have hung trying to do the update check. Working fine as always now.

Thank you so much for this wonderful tool. I found it a little while back and after using it for a while I highly recommend it to anyone to ease your engineer needs and desires. I do use other tools from time to time but this is my goto tool of choice. Combined with Inara, I dont think you can get more useful info than this. Only other thing I really use is the EDDB. These 3 things make Elite a pleasure to play. Again, Thank you very much. You rock! :)

Hi,

I'm showing more Materials & Data than I need for Tod McQuin's Level 5 Overvharge Multi-cannon mod. I've filtered the program to only show my one favorite and it's showing in materials:

Arsenic, Chemical Manipulators, Conductive Polymers and Zirconium.

It should only show: Conductive Polymers and Zirconium.

In Data it's showing Datamined Wake Exceptions and Modified Embedded Firmware.

It should only show: Modified Embedded Firmware.

I don't want to sound thick but is it me doing something wrong?

Having some issues with the latest update. Windows Defender says it's unsafe (which I think may be a lie) I even tried adding it to the exclusions. I copied the log details which I hope it will help find out the issue.

not sure what's wrong but seems like it's trying to change some file that is locked by another process
are you sure windows defender is complaining? it should only be the smartscreen warning about unknown publisher, not an antivirus message

best bet would be to reinstall anyway
