What's up with that? That makes NO SENSE at all. Mining isn't about removing stuff from the asteroid, it's about having the stuff that you get from removing said stuff from asteroids. Why would they even care if you mined it before or after you got the mission? Or even if you just found it floating in space.
There shouldn't be a mining mission anyway, the mission should be: "Get me X tonns of Y, make sure it's not stolen. Mining is a good option."
If you happen to have something, and someone else wants it, why would they even bother to send you out and get the same something AGAIN? They wouldn't, they'd just ask you for what you have already, cause they don't want to wait, and you would get a nice bonus over selling it normally.

This is just yet another artificial and unlogical hurdle for players to do missions swiftly, and/or earn money.

When I used to do some mining, I would just go out, get whatever, return to the station, have a look at who wants my stuff at a higher price, and sell the rest. I guess that's not an option anymore. Not that I mine anymore, it's as boring as it gets. And frontier's RNG hates me anyway. 2 million per hour? I can get that much in a single trade run... Well I would if cAPI would be working.

God forbid someone make money mining

Are planteray scans broken?

I'm in Colonia, not Quince, and they seem to have borked it. The blue on-HUD message text flashes up saying the mission has been updated, but when I go to it on the Transactions tab it still shows a duration and no completion. I've had to abandon five missions so far on three separate planets because none of them update despite completing them (the data points go inactive, intel packages are created, data in the materials store goes up, etc).

I've also tried all player-modes (Solo, Private, Open) to dock with Morten's Paradise outpost at Desy and that's broken too. Constant "boarding permission denied" despite right-size ship that worked yesterday, and not hostile.

Why do these "patches" always break more than they actually "fix"? Though arguably some of it didn't need "fixing" in the first place. Grrr. Beginning to hate this game, after 21 months of this.

It means missions on stations will no longer be generated where you can just buy the return minerals/metals on said station.

"Missions

Fixed issue whereby mining missions could be turned in for profit without leaving station"

I guess thats the end of SDCs Crack Train 3.0 then...

Sarcasm on "Thank you for making all types of missions even less appealing than before" Sarcasm Off

I fly big ships i love flying big ships i decline flying anything smaller than Federal Gunship/Imperial Clipper and making missions in these large ships is not worth the time or effort anymore (1 mill to deliver something 17000Ly away or 2 mill for Taking passenger to sightseeing 20000Ly away i would not do these missions even at 4X the pay i would consider it at 20mill mark anything lover and i am wasting my time) I see missions worth 20k now on systems where i am ALLIED with all factions Its insulting And none of the Asasination/kill missions are worth the time or effort now that you cannot stack em.

I quess you really want people just Haul slaves for money (most mind numbing thing when you have done it way too much) Atleast that is solid pay with profit margin i can live with (and not wasting my time hunting some scumbag with my Corvette for profit of 300k)

(my Corvette and Cutter's rebuy cost is 40+mill So i base my economy requirements around that.)

Oh this is hilarious - 2mil to go to Colonia not a chance. Not only that but mission boards are back to 2.3 levels with 4 missions per faction and the payouts are just dismal. Seriously even a CMDR in a sidewinder is not taking a mission for 10K to travel 300,000ls. (well they can't because it's to transport 120t of goods!)

Mission board is also full of garbage mining missions and the passenger lounge has no mid distance runs it's either 400,000ls or 22,000ly and that's it.

I'm all for closing loop holes but is there any need to punish the entire player base? 1 extreme to the next.

  • After reviewing overall player experiences since 2.4, we've adjusted the number of missions the servers attempt to send for each board or passenger lounge

I hope that doesn't mean that the number of missions on the boards has been reduced, because I very seriously doubt that anyone was complaining about finally having an abundance of missions to choose from. It was so very nice to have full mission boards for a change, going back to the 2.3 amount would be a huge degradation and not an improvement.

The boards were beginning to become borderline acceptable.

Not doubting you or anything, I'm just not home to look this up; but could you please post some screenshots of this?

For the lazy: "Instead of nerfing the Armour Piercing value Frontier have nerfed the Breach Damage instead, Breach damage is required to damage thargoid hearts, 8 AX Missiles now only deal 2% damage to a exposed heart."

If this is indeed true, this is the proof I needed to know they don't actually test their changes.
There aren't enough facepalm gifs in all the internet for this...

Well, thanks FDev. The mission nerf made the Bubble boring, and now the Pleiades is boring too. How many weeks will this take to fix?
