INRA Base Discoveries

Surprise, surprise they sabotaged Jameson - someone needs to pay - when they backstabbed Jameson they attacked all pilot federation members. The Thargoids will seem like nothing compared to us.

Wait what?

Why the hate for the INRA in these threads
We know the thargoids were attacking humanity
We know the thargoids did horrible things to humans, from the logs of History will Judge as the person said they don't feel bad after having seen what the thargoids have done to us.
The Thargoids have killed hundreds of thousands since their reappearance if the 40000 escape pods recovered in less than a week, in the CG is anything to go by.

Cmdr Jamieson in the logs laments killing thousands of sentient beings, yet as an Elite Cmdr will have killed thousands of sentient beings to get that rank.

INRA ... evil as they stopped the Thargoids indiscriminately attacking humanity by attacking them back.

Nice pictures.
Now I wonder:
- who set up those red lights around the ship? Was the ship found by somebody else and a defense perimeter made around it?
- where is the space for that centered front facing weapon? It looks like the retracted weapon would be directly in the cockpit.

Looks really nice that old Cobra.

Red lights are not around the ship but around that specific cargo racks.

Epic audio logs.

I don't particulary mind the killing of the Thargoids - it's the double cross on Jameson that needs to be addressed - oh, and whoever thought they would send out some ships to shut up Comms post zeta12 (and me when I was poking about) - already had to kill a few ships over that one......

Exactly... humanty is a very agressive race and started the war with the thargoids in the past...

This last log is just wowzers.
I wonder where all this leads us, is this just a side dish or part of the main course?

Edit: noticed Jameson's Cobra - which has the same JJ number as the crashed T9s and Anacondas at one of the Thargoid crash sites...
JJ for John Jameson of course.

Did we?

We don't know what started it yet (remember ED is essentially a reboot, lore from old games is no longer canon until it's actually in ED).

I mean, knowing humans, we almost certainly did :) But we don't know for sure yet (it was 200+ years ago after all!)

Is it possible that as per the logs he did manage to make one jump before the systems went dead? We can use that to determine a list of systems the hive ship was in. Or, are we accepting he didn't? It seems to indicate he had some control after he fired, and he did set a jump to occur after firing.

I have a question about the beacons (concrete?) around the ship: It looks like they were put after the crash. why? Anybody would have before already come? The coputer in the ship is active (why the logs aren't aboard?)

Any significance to the cargo at Jameson's Cobra,

For my Visit
Chemical Waste (Military drive or left overs from Mycoid Weapon?)
Explosives (again part of weapon?)
Beryllium, not sure what this would be for

I was at this sad location yesterday and while I was looking around I saw a light in the distance. After a ride of about 4 km I reached a mining site, heavily guarded inside a restriction zone, neither group nor owner name and with a round structure at the side which could be the entrance of the mine. Some canister laying around farther out.

It has sort of been confirmed in Galnet as well.

I hate the INRA because I've always hated them, their mask has always been paper thin. I am quite convinced that they were also involved in at least one of the Generation ships demise (Theta). Also as others have mentioned we (unsurprisingly enough) started the war.

My combat ranking is only Novice after 3 years :p

Oh, hehe... I didn't even notice that when I was there. Tinfoil hat securely fastened.

I found exactly the same thing, within a few Km of the crashed ship. I started to get very interested, but unfortunately I relogged and it wasn't persistent :(

If Jameson survived the crash then he might have set off on foot to try & reach the INRA base, leaving the beacon arrow to show his direction. Might have reached the mining outpost (it’s suspicious that it is so close to the crash site & more than one Cmdr has found it), which would probably be best for him as he would likely have been killed by INRA if he’d got to their base.

I thought it slightly strange that his sabotaged ship “rigged to disable after the weapon deployment” could still hyperjump after that deployment; would have been better for INRA if the jump drive was disabled on weapon deployment so the goids could finish him off, but perhaps it was done this way to give him a chance of survival in ED

Do not forget that it was 200 years ago... the INRA bases were probably far out of inhabited space and the mining station simply did not exist then.
I think, we haven´t searched far enough from the crash site or haven´t looked good enough. I will return to the site today and start another attempt.

My tinfoil hat is loosening :( I'm now 350Km from the crash site and haven't come across anything so far. However, I am tempted to bring my Eagle back here because the canyons around here would be great for racing through :D
