INRA Base Discoveries

I would highly recommend not reading the logs for the crashed Cobra. Don't listen to the audio logs on Youtube. Go there yourself!

These are really well done.

Screw the INRA!

This. Most definitely this. I'm here now reflecting on what I've just heard. I'm on xbox if anybody wants winging in.

Really interesting finds commanders, congrats [up]

Went there myself, the Jameson logs are really poignant, and add a lot of new information, nice

and hive ships !

Yes indeed and

It also finally confirms where we stand with the lore in respect to the virus. Instead of it being the player who has the choice of what to do at the end of Frontier, it was given to Jameson and he delivered it to the hive ship

Do we know what lead to the discovery of Jameson's ship ? Was there a clue or was it just some random search ?

And where to now ?

Sure finding the hive ship would be nice, I can't believe FD would have put those logs here without a way to find the hive ship, that would be too cruel :D

My first instinct would be to search on a line coming from 12 trianguli and passing by hip 12099, Jameson coming back from the assault to dock in the inra base at 12 trianguli and crashing on the way, but I don't know, the proximity to the other inra base is weird to me...

Anyway, I'm sure the pros are already on it, and are finding the ship as I write this post

That's a good question. Whats up with the scout in HIP 17403? How did it end there when Jameson fired on a Hive ship? Or was this just a breadcrump that INRA and the mycoid virus are actually in the game?

I think we can still find two bases. After the first one was found someone said 12 projects -> 12 bases. I objected but now I think he was right. I think we did not find everything yet.

And then there's still the Sarasvati on the other end of the human bubble.

Might be an indicator of the nature of the hive mind. Rather than it being a model where every individual is connected directly (and contributes) to the hive mind, it might be a hierarchical model where multiple Thargoids at one level are connected to one node at the next level, multiple of which are connected to a single node at the next level, and so on.

Went to check it out too, and took some pics.

Says "Jameson" on the ship too:

Nice pictures.
Now I wonder:
- who set up those red lights around the ship? Was the ship found by somebody else and a defense perimeter made around it?
- where is the space for that centered front facing weapon? It looks like the retracted weapon would be directly in the cockpit.

Looks really nice that old Cobra.

Maybe emergency beacons places by Cmdr Jameson after the crash

Surprise, surprise they sabotaged Jameson - someone needs to pay - when they backstabbed Jameson they attacked all pilot federation members. The Thargoids will seem like nothing compared to us.

If they set a program to trigger a malfunktion of Jamesons Cobra after the deployment of the payload,
it could be in the same system he delivered the payload?

Yeah, was thinking the same. Can't see anything to indicate that he hyperspaced out, which woudl set that system as ground zero.
