Definitely worth listening to the logs, not just reading them, the voice acting is 100% worthwhile.

I wonder where all this leads us, is this just a side dish or part of the main course?
Edit: noticed Jameson's Cobra - which has the same JJ number as the crashed T9s and Anacondas at one of the Thargoid crash sites...

I've been on the opinion that this is just fun lore to find, and won't lead to anything.
The only thing I can think of against that is the discovery of the vaccine, and even then use of it will be out of our hands.
What if it leads us to the remnants of the hive ship, and then to the next step? Or will it explain why the Thargoids are cautious with advancing into human space?
I'm there now. The ship is scannable, and shows this is Jameson's ship, and it high concentrations of mycoid particles have been detected...
