Silence on what? You haven't brought up any good points. I just think you're silly. I'll keep responding as long as you keep posting though.

JESUS, I have asked four times for a truce now but you just can't resist on insulting me.

I'm hoping to god I run into mister spineless next time I'm online.

I'm sure he would look forward to it.

PVP is exciting and fun to plan against. Maybe it's because I played EVE for years and years but none of this "ganking" is new or exciting in any way. It's not even a big deal considering how cheap it is to buy your ship again.

What is it like 10% of the cost? Just never buy more cargo than you can afford to lose. Simple as that.

I doubt it. He's dodged numerous efforts to call him out and refuses to even admit his own in game name. This is not a PvPer who likes a real fight, this is a coward who by his own admission giggles as he shoots docking cargo ships from behind. I doubt he even knows how to fly real combat.

Gee I wonder why

"I've said it twice already... I want his name so I can block him. If others want to out him on kill lists then he'll have the combat he craves. All good."

You do know blocking him makes it so you can't teach him who's boss right?

Admins consider it naming and shaming, you'll get an infraction for it.

So if I post up a picture of someone targeting me I will get a infraction for naming myself? I find it realy hard to understand how its a problem its a screenshot of the game, I realy couldn't be bothered editing a picture so I WILL never post a picture on here I will just post on my Facebook like I have been.

Yah I know... he annoyed me enough that I changed my mind. That ok with you or do I need your permission first?

No he's just using that as an excuse to remain hiding under his rock. The rule is only about naming OTHERS... you can name yourself all you like.

All this nonsense made me curious as to how stations deal with silent running. A short test has shown me that they basically completely ignore it.

BEHOLD! How to waste tens of thousands of credits by yours truly
Here we go

http://a.pomf.se/kuszvr.webm

Mistake #1
Don't do silent running at a [redacted] station
Mistake #2
Didn't drop heatsinks
Mistake #3
Didn't boost away as soon as I dumped my missiles.

So in conclusion during my test/tests I found a crash bug with missles/multicannons that I opened a ticket for (Viewing Ticket [ id: 16567 ])

Silent running appears to do nothing against NPC stations at the moment considering I got a bounty instantly

Also it appears that missiles are quite laggy considering the target went from 100% to about 0 % in 2 seconds.

Oh I also had some form of increased armor on that ship which appears to have been equal to a thin layer of popcorn.

Hope you guys enjoyed.

That would be because silent running is a misnomer... it doesn't hide you, it just breaks heat locks from missiles etc. It should be called ECM or something (ECM isn't accurate either but it's a closer analogy).
