Right but you do realize inflating credits have no direct results on your gameplay as I've just explained in my previous post.

There's no REAL economy, period. If you don't want to make 70 millions to blow up a ship don't take the mission.

It does though. It limits the missions I can take as I don't like taking missions that give unrealistic amounts of credits. As I said, I find most missions give way too many credits. So I don't take them. This then limits the amount of missions that are open to me.

It directly effects my game. As to the economy, yes there is a very basic system. It could certia my do with an update.

What's antagonistic is the assertion that because one chooses not to avail themselves of high-paying missions, then that means no one else should have access to them either.

It's no longer a matter of simply choosing how you want to play the game, when how you want to play the game is constantly spammed with roadblocks.

I never said that and never implied that. I have no issues with high paying missions as long as they are appropriate for the effort/danger involved.

How can you not realize that you just said it again? Your idea of an appropriate credit to danger ratio is simply your own. Other players obviously feel differently.

To say that there's a shortage of crappy paying missions is simply disingenuous and appears to be a veiled effort toward pushing the needle toward nerfs, aka contrarian forumdad territory.

I honestly see posts like this as poorly disguised trolling. You don't want to partake of the onion head, but instead of simply saying no thanks, you want to make sure that everyone knows that you don't want anyone else to enjoy it either..... Thus giving FDev more excuses to riddle this game with time sinks instead of developing engaging content, which you claim to want.

So what you're saying is, the Engineer and Guardian grind is the real end game, not the credits. I've got a fully fitted Cutter, yet it's no where near complete and won't be for a while.

I've been playing this game since 2015 and have been having more fun with the co-op aspect of it in the past few weeks than I have in years. I do not understand the people on this forum that have the incessant need to prevent others from having fun their way. People shouldn't have to play for a year to get into a big ship, and I say that being someone that has done that very thing. Not everyone can put 4 hours a day into this game and that shouldn't be the barrier of entry to have fun.

A - THERE IS NO ENDGAME, Never was and Never Will Be.
B - Been playing for just as long as you, took me over a year to get into my Python - still love it to this day.
C - I have a problem with the RAMPANT Hyperinflation present in the mindset of a large number of players.
D - Don't even try to trot out the tired "I have rl stuff and want everything nownownow GIMMIE" argument. We ALL have RL tuff of our own to deal with - Myself I have a wife, a fully paid for home, my work, a senile mother-in-law (IN MY HOUSE FYI) and have spent several years going through surgeries and treatment to rebuild after a near-fatal head on collision. This is why in the same time as you I have only 2500 hours logged in the game, so I get the RL argument - and frankly you can just stuff it.
E - The reason I speak up is because the incessant call for Hyperinflation both devalues and degrades the sense of accomplishment I get from playing the game - if everything is just handed to you then there is nothing to accomplish. By constantly demanding MOAR you are in essence RUINING my game so you can "get to play your way" and it es me off to no end.

And FYI - the accomplishments in my sig were all EARNED honestly - no cheats/exploits/gold rushes etc.

My hands are clean, can you say the same??

No I have no problems with the depth of the content, I have no problem with the fact that my playstyle makes unlocking slow, I have concerns about the long term interest for the people who have joined this year and have already got access to all ships and systems available.

I have seen several complaints that they were too low for various killing people missions.

But I am only interested in missions as a direct means to rank up or unlock access, they are not the way I play.

I’ve been playing 3 months I have been having a blast. Haven’t touched engineering or exploration. I’ve never seen a thargoid or left the bubble. I never gave a damn about money till after this patch. Now I’ve sold my anaconda for a type 9 and just watch tv shows while limping station to station to support my bounty hunting ‘hobby’. Not haveing fun..
This game has so much potential if it just gave players some agency. It seems like it’s trying to be an mmo but it should try and be a space simulator and give players the tools to roleplay, create jobs, control the economy and so on.. it wouldn’t take much..

How can you not even trade credits from player to player???

You could have entire player businesses around escorting trades and exploration ships!
Player made bounties! The sky is the limit!

But it seems frontier thinks grinding is the superior play experience.... they should take a page out of soe’s book and look at what happened to Star Wars galaxies when it went from sandbox to wow style mmo

Cool story bro, I support sick family members as well. We not asking for MOAR goldrushes. These threads are never about asking to have them added, it's about asking to have them not taken away.

Once again it's not our problem if you can't pace yourself or develop self-control.

See the issue?

No I don't because I am playing the game I bought and researched - I knew what I was getting into.

You, on the other hand, are insisting that the game be redone to suit you and your tastes - at the expense of my own time and prior investment.

I knew what I was buying getting into this, you want it modified to suit YOU because you wanted checkers instead of Tri-Dimensional Chess.

Do YOU get it now??

And it's not my problem that you cannot do so either, and demand that the game be CHANGED to suit you.

You want the big toys, but you don't wanna work for them, and up a blue streak when FDev declares something to be out of balance. In the end it's THEIR game - so suck it up buttercup.

We don't want their game redone, we want them to STOP redoing it every time we find a decent way to make money.

You have the choice of donating your credits, or just not buying stuff if you don't want the stuff. I don't understand why that's so hard?

So voicing an opinion is now.considered trolling. As everything on this site is pretty much an opinion this would be a deserted forum if that isn't allowed.

Only when your feedback is specifically intended to inconvenience other players.

How am I trying to inconvenience other players? I am not telling FDev what to do. They will decide how it should be balanced and we will have to adapt how we play. By making credits too easy could inconvenience me and the way I play. Does that make everyone who thinks more credits for missions are trolling me.

Personally I don't think so.

It's pretty obvious he's trolling at this point. Either way he doesn't seem to understand there's no concept of real economy in this game therefore there's no real flat value for the credits we make outside of our own enjoyment. The missions could reward you a 100 times higher than right now and it would have absolutely no difference on the universe.

Or you are the one trolling. You guys are being no different to me. Maybe you are oblivious yourselves.

"There is no REAL player economy because payouts are set on the type of mission selected, there is no gold rush and no discernible value to credits which is why having an infinitely amount of credits created out of thin air and inflation never comes into play because supply and demand are non extant concepts."

You understand that right or you are purposely trolling?

Credits become meaningless when you have too many. Having a player controlled economy will not work with so many systems. Places would be completely static and not change. To get that to work, FDev would have to completely change how the game worked.

I know exactly what you are talking about, but the game with the size of the bubble it just isn't practical unless there were far more players. Not that I think that a fully player driven economy would fix any of the issues.
