I can tell you for a fact, that accidentally boosting into the back of the station does not get you to raxxla. The rebuy screen, on the other hand, is a lot more probable.

Have you tried sneaking round the back of it though?

(If it is like my couch, there is probably a few quid down there as well)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(game)

does it work anything like simon. BTW, what other names have the simon game had over the years/decade/more... Does it have an older deeper origin to something?!

How old is simon says as a game? Pre electronic form.

I would bet there is something to the pattern raxxla or not. Figuring that our regardless would whittle down the raxxla hunt as it whittles down unknowns in the game.

Reading this topic reminds me so much of Alice chasing the rabbit down the rabbit hole. The difference here is that this field has hundreds of rabbit holes, much more interesting.

It did occur to me that rabbit and raxxla both have 6 letters with the same double letters in the middle but the a's dont match in any way.

I'll get my coat now.

Anyone else have the 12" white rabbit by damned with the excellent 'curtain call'? That should be the Raxxla theme...but airplane...oh I dont know! dammit!

I came across something today when doing some random research on Raxxla. In the Codex there are several hints/clues I think I may have picked up on.

1) First, they make mention of something called Omphalos Rift. Omphalos was a religious stone artifact in Ancient Greek. So i am going to look around greek named systems around the bubble near sol. There is a system called Delphi that was named something else in the beginning but was changed in Beyond.

Isn't it interesting that this quest for Raxxla has us, in a way, frameshift driving through history and deep into Greek mythology? And there have been so many theories, but thinking out of the box for a moment, i'm curious if anyone has done research on the name Raxxla itself?

Why Robert Holdstock chose that name to be precise. A simple search on the google search engine would simply be about the mystery itself, a link to this forum or youtube videos. So i went to the internet archives, basically a complete sweep of the internet of anything on ''Raxxla''. And what do I find? Well, first a few Computist Issues published back in the 1980's, and then something rather interesting.

Lots of Greek. Half way down the page you'll see the word with the two ''ÀÀ'' letters, that's the highlighted word when searching for 'Raxxla'. Simply typing 'Raxxla' in a translation detector will only show 'Raxxla' with english detected due to the english alphabet. So I had to free hand that word myself to get the correct translation. It's real easy to get lost in translation but the word once completed was detected as Greek and translated to ''Gallia'' which is also written in this text, it also means Gaul. Which was the name of several different ancient regions pre-roman i believe.

I don't think it's necessary to go into which regions or what they were, but I think the important things is, that it was more then one region. And well, what's in a name, is everything…''capacity, power.'' ''Powerful people''. Which is related to the name itself. It's too good of a connection to be nothing. I'm curious if this is what the creator of this mystery had in mind when creating it. (Edit: unsure if I already made a post on this some months back…)

Personally I would push for the theme tune from the film Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines....

but since we couldn’t agree on a squadron name I don’t hold out much hope for an agreement on a Questors theme.

I do like the idea of Raxxla = Γαλλια = Gallia.

Friends,
it is with a pretty heavy heart that I have come to tell you that I have found Raxxla.
My heart is heavy because I cannot tell you more, and more so because as such I am forced to cut ties with everyone I have made friends with in this galaxy. I have made failed promises, and have left much to be understood. I knew so little at the time of making those. You may read this and get upset or feel betrayed, and I understand that and expect that. If you too find Raxxla, you will understand perfectly well why I have to do this. There is in fact an NDC, of sorts, on the path to finding it. Raxxla is not something that can be found by collaboration between friends, piggy backing, coat tail riding, or even in multicrew. It is in fact something one has to do all on their own and there is no work around. You cannot outsmart the process or use shortcuts along your way. It must be done exactly as it is intended, alone and as directed. If you could teach people the process it would completely strip and rob them of what it is and where it leads to. This too will make sense when you find it and then you will understand why I am doing what I am doing.
It is out there and it is within all of you to do just that. I have my sincerest hopes that you will. I have spent much of the day in tears over this experience as a whole, literally.
Luckily for you, my closest friends and allies in The 46&2, and all of you in Canonn Research, you have possession of a wealth of incomplete information on how to find it, as well as how it got done and I'm leaving that as is. If you give up you will never find it. If you fail the process you will never grasp it. If you try to subvert it, or its participants, you will not see it, touch it or feel it. The story of the Nemesis is not yours, so leave that in the past, although a Cobra is good tradtion, so maybe piece one together for this trip. I cannot show you pictures or videos, but I can give you the map. Hold it tight and don't let go.
The keywords I give you are the tools you will use to decipher the meanings of people, places and things along the way, every step of the way. When you find it it will be unmistakeable.
