Surely the easiest solution is to just ignore them.
It's not something you seem capable of doing.

Never said I was. It's not something you seem capable of doing.
You misunderstand, which you shouldn't since I've made myself clear about this in the past. I personally do not want to use the ADS, I want the FSS free of these new bugs (and a couple of older ones as well). Your suggestion that bringing back the ADS somehow "fixes" the FSS is flawed. So using your rail analogy, it's like suggesting that because you like PAs better, a bug in the rail gun needs not be fixed...Why? Its like me saying i dont want rails in the game. I am free not to fit them to my ship so whats the issue?
Will has responded, that topic has been addressed. There is no need for any more on that topic. All of these bug complaint threads should be closed with a referral to the issues tracker.
Preferably the ant-anti-FSS/pro-anti-ADS people as well.
Then again, we've gotten a response back from the Frontier team, so I'm not sure how useful this thread is now otherwise anyway.
There is no problem.
You're not alone, and the re-focus thing is extremely annoying. It's great when there's only two or three planets in some equilibrium, but if you have a large gas planet with 10 small satellites it gets infuriating. The method I've used to quickly scan through them is to go one-by-one next to each other. Now, zoom in on one and then zoom out, re-focused on the main planet and you have to move the scanner each time back to where you had the grouping of smaller planets to zoom in to. Over and over again. Before it was easy to keep track on where you were, now it makes you head spin.Am I alone with that weird issue ?
Well if all the whining nonsense hadn't been clogging the thread I would have seen that.
Thanks for letting me know I could trawl back through pages of nonsense to find a dev post.
That is your problem. Not FDevs problem. You seem to think that your issue is FDev's issue. It isn't.There is a problem, just not one you are willing to acknowledge any more. The problem (that I and others have) will not be solved through inaction, it will be solved by reinstating the modules that were needlessly removed, and not removing any other features without good reason.
This has nothing to do with the topic but had it remained in the game the bugged FSS issue would be greatly diminished because there would be an alternative for those who fitted an ADS - they would be able to target the body & fly towards it..
I tried it out plenty.
I didn't like it.
The "old fashioned way" does not exist in the game anymore, because undiscovered bodies no longer show up in the Navigation panel. It's not game breaking, you just have to do it the old fashioned way. It's annoying, maybe even ridiculous, but not game breaking.
Use parallax. That still works. The "old fashioned way" does not exist in the game anymore, because undiscovered bodies no longer show up in the Navigation panel.
I often do. It's also for the birds if you're trying to see what's in a system to know if you want to spends some time there before actually spending it.Use parallax. That still works.
Thats what the FSS is for.I often do. It's also for the birds if you're trying to see what's in a system to know if you want to spends some time there before actually spending it.
The thread wasn't derailed picommander.Just admitting that you just derail a thread (once again) doesn't make it any less derailing. I wouldn't be all to surprised when next time your matter would be embossed on a 5 dollar note.
https://issues.frontierstore.net/reported-issues/elite-dangerousSo I thought that this discussion was relating to bugs with the FSS but after reading it the discussion seems to actually be about whining about the FSS and demanding the "old system" be returned. Is that the case? If so, could someone direct me to the correct discussion about FSS bugs where no one is demanding the return of the "old" exploration system?
Personally, I'd be fine with just having unknown signal targets on the nav panel for more reasonable first person exploration gameplay in 3305 than manually tuning a radio to each plip individually or using parallax. That doesn't really address others wanting more ADS functionality though.Thats what the FSS is for.![]()
What radio is that?Personally, I'd be fine with just having unknown signal targets on the nav panel for more reasonable first person exploration gameplay in 3305 than manually tuning a radio to each plip individually or using parallax.
Never said it did. But this is not the thread for such discussions and is off topic. That doesn't really address others wanting more ADS functionality though.
Cheers.
Sorry, can't respond as it is off topic...What radio is that?
