I've said this before but it surely was lost in the flow of this juggernaut, so I'll say it again. For what it's worth, I think the language from those missions has been de facto ret-conned. New players have no knowledge of them in-game and to use them as a key would be unfair to them and flies in the face of what FDev are trying to accomplish with the Codex. Obviously, one is free to do as one chooses, but for this CMDR, the only thing that is cannon for me now is "It's out there and we know what it is" and whatever is in the Codex. Everything else is vapid speculation.
Correct me if I'm wrong here but doesn't the official, horses mouth testimony to the the existence of Raxxla equate to Grand High Overlords Braben and Brookes, on two separate videos, stating it's in the game and they know where it is (and no, there won't be any clues although it has to be a bit, obvious)?

They really haven't said much about it at all. Maybe their tin foil hats aren't tight enough?

So, I haven't been keeping up in a while. Can I get a sort of run down on everything discussed in a bullet-point format or something? I would like to see the most up-to-date checklist on everything that is confirmed to be truth (such as the very few things DB ever said about Raxxla) and fake/lies/rumors (such as the "it's been honked but the guy wasn't paying attention and kept moving" myth)

1) we have not found Raxxla
2) We have not been in ited to join DW
3) We have no idea what we are looking for
4) we have argued much about clues/no clues
5) I think it's in the rift and the codex has pointed us back there
6) lots of cool, but so far unfruitful intersections posted by Han Zen
7) we have not found Raxxla. I know I already mentioned this, but it is such an import6point, I thought it was worth mentioning twice
8) thread has continued to be great fun with fantastic contributions from all the usual suspects, you know who you are, so I wont name you as I'm bound to miss someone
9) I persuaded myself there could be another galaxy (fiscally feasibly)
10) I asked Will if Raxxla, TDW, Gan Romero exist, but am yet to receive a response

It is 'Hearsay' but from a good source. Its a conversation with David Braben reported by Drew Wagar on one of his streams, its still live on his YT site.

its hearsay because its a 2nd hand 'confession' rather than us hearing it from DB directly so open to speculation but the quote is as accurate as DW remembers it

I'm think the bit about we know why it hasn't been found was not in Drew's quote, unless you can post a link that contradicts me? The original post was posted here a few pages back and I dont remember that last sentance being there?

1. It was never stated that raxxla was reachable. This was assumed and then everyone starts acting like it's a fact straight from the horses mouth.
Then we'd be wrong to assume that it's reachable now, in which case this entire thread is a waste of time

2. Regardless of it having not been confirmed by FDev, it has equally not been denied. Meaning that there hasn't been any statements either way about this. Making it northern true nor false.
If FDev were to respond to all wild speculation then they'd spend ALL their time doing it. In this particular case, confirming that the system has been visited would constitute an absolute MASSIVE clue, given that we're still (as far as I know) below 1% of systems visited

Or both true and false until someone opens the box and confirms the existing state of Schrodinger's Raxxla system
Here's another Schrodinger's Fact for you:

I've visited Raxxla and I'm not telling you where it is.

Let me know when FDev confirm or deny this.

agreed.

the whole 'honked' and 'but not found' bits I have found zero substantiation for, just loose lips on oddball streams misquoting or making up myths, Cobra jump range etc all contexts added by players and then repeated as facts.

the substantiated quote is

DW - Does Raxxla exist in the game?
DB - It exists and we know where it is

THATS IT in its entirety.

Whether DB was metaphorically speaking (Raxxla is a state of mind) is a different matter entirely and open to speculation. Who 'we' are has been speculated and morphed into fact as well.

I personally think the Dark Wheel story is something that may play out in game, but the DW don't know where Raxxla is so it can still be kept hidden. I think it will be a future DLC that opens up the DW. but I could be 100% wrong.

Another one is DJTruthSayer interview with Michael Brookes: (Edit@ this one is person to person so you can see and hear MB respond directly)

DJ - Is it right that there will be no clues?
MB - (hesitating / thinking throughout answer) - yes but at the same time you have to make some things a tiny bit obvious so players know what they are doing

What the hell that means I don't know, I do know MB responded to 'no clues' and didn't offer it so don't know where the original quote is from.

I thought you didn't think it was reachable currently anyway? Dont tell me I've persuaded you? Next you will be finding clues! ;)

Even the we know WHERE it is, I have not personally seen evidence for
I think we need to start asking Will, DB and/or any other dev who knows the truth the right question.

"Is it possible to find Raxxla as the game is now?" Because for all we know, it's in the game but the devs have not implemented a way to get to it as of yet

This is why they won't answer any questions - because as soon as they start answering, people will start finding ways to ask questions that narrow down the search criteria.

I've stated this possibilty 5-10 pages ago

Also, I wouldn't at all be surprised if you had found raxxla and are intentionally misleading people and misrepresenting facts. Again as I already stated 50+ pages ago
