agreed.

the whole 'honked' and 'but not found' bits I have found zero substantiation for, just loose lips on oddball streams misquoting or making up myths, Cobra jump range etc all contexts added by players and then repeated as facts.

the substantiated quote is

DW - Does Raxxla exist in the game?
DB - It exists and we know where it is

THATS IT in its entirety.

Whether DB was metaphorically speaking (Raxxla is a state of mind) is a different matter entirely and open to speculation. Who 'we' are has been speculated and morphed into fact as well.

I personally think the Dark Wheel story is something that may play out in game, but the DW don't know where Raxxla is so it can still be kept hidden. I think it will be a future DLC that opens up the DW. but I could be 100% wrong.

Another one is DJTruthSayer interview with Michael Brookes: (Edit@ this one is person to person so you can see and hear MB respond directly)

DJ - Is it right that there will be no clues?
MB - (hesitating / thinking throughout answer) - yes but at the same time you have to make some things a tiny bit obvious so players know what they are doing

What the hell that means I don't know, I do know MB responded to 'no clues' and didn't offer it so don't know where the original quote is from.
^ the sum total of out-of-game cannon ^

I'm think the bit about we know why it hasn't been found was not in Drew's quote, unless you can post a link that contradicts me? The original post was posted here a few pages back and I dont remember that last sentance being there?
The OP has been updated with the quote, which was made on this forum. Links in OP

The quote that doesn’t quite say “it exists and we know where it is” was finally dug up and validated again on page 533 of this thread. It’s here:

OH MY GOD, THE THREAD EXISTS AGAIN. HAVE AT IT FOLKS!!!!!

I feel super vindicated because DW told me i was mistaken when i questioned this in his lore thread.

Edit: @Macros Black, i suspect an edit of the OP is in order

Here's a screen shot Just in case:

Maybe we should have Macros plaster this to the first page AND his signature so we can stop getting new arguments about it every dozen or so pages, lmao. I really do love reading this thread, but sometimes it feels like it’s page after page of exactly the same “fact” restated by someone else interspersed with awesome stories and wild theories. Not that I’m complaining about those last two...

That quote is actually not substantiated. It is a paraphrase of the original quote, made almost a year after DB and DW's 2014 discussion. I have the links to prove this, but the first instance of this paraphrase is from a now deleted lore thread from DW's website.

Edit: the deleted article still exists on Canonn (link in op), which is what we currently use as proof for the quote, despite the fact that it is several degrees removed from the original quote.

Then we'd be wrong to assume that it's reachable now, in which case this entire thread is a waste of time
Yes. I said this exact thing about 5-15 pages ago.

It's funny how when YOU say fdev didn't confirm or sent something you seem to think it should be taken as fact. You're real quick to cut down anyone else saying this though. Why is that?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if you did find Raxxla and are intentionally misrepresenting facts and misleading people. As I'm pretty sure I stated about 100 pages ago.

Mate.... Drew's one of the most factually accurate and non-misrepresentative people on the forums.
normally I'd agree but the facts are all in here. He also seems to take special interest in defacing a lot of things I say. Sorry if I take that personally. I don't deal well with being condescended to.

Yes that's what I was saying, the quote attributed to DB is from someone else, in law that's hearsay, its a legal useage by me not a judgemental one.

it is still live on DW livestream on YT where he recounts the story, not saying when it was recorded or how close to the conversation or whether it was the first time or the original time, just that its there and in that it is substantiated as that is what DW has said, nothing else implied.

Not sure if this helps, CMDR Mayor, but when I tried that 7-9 (I did 8 before jumping to Zaonce; left of Tionisla) jump theory, I was jumping while scooping every jump.

Since I'm in a DBX, and they struggle to gas up quickly in between jumps, I always make a spin or two before making the next jump when you exploring.

If you press the jump key when your scooping drops under 200/s and start to pull away, you can jump to the next system without rising your heat about 90%ish.

Cool. Could you post the link please? I would love to see it

Page one of this thread; Under "Public FD Raxxla Statements"
#4 - "Raxxla exists, we know where it is, and why people haven't been able to find it..."

In that thread, if scroll a little down, Drew mentions
"Perhaps something for the "Second Great Expedition" :)

It's probably not much of a reveal to ...er... reveal that the official writers have been specifically asked to avoid 'Raxxla'. My money is on some clues being revealed in Michael Brooke's upcoming novel. We'll see."

This was back in 2014; anyone read Elite: Legacy?

Whilst a certain Penguin and I disagree on almost everything, I absolutely enjoy and value his contributions in equal measure. I have complete respect for yourself, Drew & all of the other "old guard" who challenge my wild theories and keep me in check. In fact, you are two of the many people I was referring to yesterday when I mentioned great contributions from the usual suspects. Having said this, however, I feel it is important to make two specific points.....

1) Stating assumptions as facts, when those assumptions are in the "no its not column" is no more accurate than stating assumptions as facts when they are in the "it could be over here" column, its just a little less obvious.
2) A member of the old guard stating an assumption as a fact is WORSE than other people doing it, as others tend to just accept that it must be true.
