Thanks for the replies on Witchspace all.

What I was wondering is if the Thargoids are travelling in Dark Matter/Energy, hence why we can’t chase them. Will we one day get the same kind of engine tech reverse engineered so we can travel by Dark Matter/Energy?!

Could Raxxla be a portal to allow us to travel via Dark Matter/Energy....

I find myself pondering all sorts of ideas on Raxxla, I’m somewhat of a lurker to this thread. But I just started thinking about Dark Matter/Energy as a possibility.....
Not sure I'd pin any hopes on dark matter, seems a few are (2019) counter-hypothesising it doesn't exist.

As a pathogen, remember the rare good, Aganippe Rush.
"A neurological stimulant only available in Aganippe. Often used to temporarily increase the user's memory retention and awareness, it is a favourite among students and scholars. Recent reports have revealed that excessive use and abuse of the compound has been linked with psychotic episodes and hallucinations."

It could of course be an actual door or physical gateway.

Learned a couple things today. Most of note. Neither TDW or Raxxla reside in any of the main 7 stars of the Coronae Borealis constellation (visited a number of stars in between as well on the way)
Second, the bubble isn’t as explored as some may assume. Been flying for the last while with my filters set to non visited stars and economic routes. Just on my trip across and then above the bubble to check this constellation out I found dozens of undiscovered/unmapped planets either in the bubble or close (<50ly) and 2 undiscovered systems in the bubble. Also found an undiscovered civilian outpost (glittering bear. What a name lol).
seems to me there’s lots to find even within and near the bubble. Could well be that TDW or Raxxla yet hide in it.

The further down I go the weirder this stuff gets. Please bare with me as I try to explain. Okay so, I’ll begin with the Alliance Festival. The music portion in Phekda to be precise.
The writer claims this is the “Greatest gig in the galaxy”. Gig can also mean something that “whirls” around possible reference to dark revolutions or dark wheel.
next is the first band “Spectacular Nemesis” I think we all know what spectacular mean BUT “Nemesis” could be a reference to Persephone in Sol. Remember Fdev named Persephone but currently people believe that the 9th planet is the fabled Nemesis and it has not been discovered although some believe its gravity is felt by Kuiper objects.

Jade Graceland: A precious Gem and the home of Elvis Presley. Gem and musical reference (keep that in mind)

The Lasting Hold: This one throws me off a bit. Perhaps another reference to Persephone/Nemesis’ gravity holding on to stellar bodies in Sol. I’ll work on this.

Next: Topaz Philharmonic. Precious Gem and the name of a type of orchestra. Again Music associated with precious gems...I have a point to this I swear stick with me.

Lastly: The return from Retirement by the legendary “singer” Xiona! Zion aka the Heavenly City. Big flashing hint to Raxxla.

So keeping all of these things in mind let’s apply then to some other things I came across.

Darkwheel Toast: The Jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies. The Federation recently got defeated in the Prism System a System filled with Stars names after jewels. Sapphire, Diamond, Ruby.

Winking Cat stole artwork on Eotienses that was made by an artist named “Lal Candromir” one of you guys pointed out “Lal”, means Ruby. Perfect. What does Candromir mean? Took me ages to find it but it means Centromere, the center part of a chromosome, where the center of the “X”. So to speak. So... Prism is the center dot of the Raxxla logo.
What about the Whisperer in Witch Space Siren to the Deepest Void: Chione: She was the daughter of the North Wind (wind blowing =whispering) and she had a child with Poseidon, she threw the child into the ocean.

Parent’s Grief: Neaera; a daughter of Autolycus (he’s very important we’ll come back to him) killed her self after she heard about the death of her son.
Lover’s Woe: Anticlea
The Yearning of our vagabond hearts: Ruby. Autolycus is a prodigious thief. Related to multiple named bodies in Prism. He also is the son of Hermes who gifted him a helmet that made him invisible...sound familiar? Winking Cat is never detected. Autolycus is also the grandfather of Odysseus. Elite was heavily inspired by a A Space Odyssey.

Phew, what else? None of that’s really “Weird” right? Here goes.

Omphalos rift: We know it means navel or center of the world, but Omphalos Syndrome is the widely held belief that where ever you are is the center of the world or wherever the most power or wealth is located, like Rome, The U.S, or Sol in our case. In Elite Dangerous there is only one system that is not named after it’s largest and most “powerful” star. Prism. Sapphire is larger and a sapphire is most expensive than a prism but we jump in at Sapphire even though the system is named Prism. @GURU-951 it’s also a reference to Pink Floyd haha.

Weirder Still!
Princess Aisling Duvals “fluff” Galnet articles are representative of where entrances or exits are. Who she courts and where they’re from represent where Prism (or Raxxla or whatever it is) is connected to.
First hint at Aisling affiliation with this mystery.
Aisling hinting at Ruby
In this Article were are directed to Prism and Ruby and given a time window. “Well before midnight” the Summerlands is hinting at Paradise and the light show is all those Hologram hints I’ve been talking about.
Remember Aisling also provides those Prismatic shield generators. Powerful but don’t last long. Exactly how this hypothetical shielded object remains invisible.
I still need to read more of her specific articles but the fact that her stories are metaphor for Raxxla is insane.

Last thing about Aisling; She did some dementia charity. I think our Commanders really have been Mandela Effected or something perhaps worse.

Anyways. I’m telling you guys this because I may miss the window and I believe that this may help everyone so why not share (if you do find something let me know at least). Before 12am UTC in the evening sometime. With only a 60 minute window. I think today 13 Dec it might be closed but I could be wrong If so then try again today tomorrow or the next day.

There may be a financial requirement (A lot of luxury items related to this) so there could be a chance that you need to have stuff on you. I’ll update if I find any truth to this.

Thoughts?

Have a quick look at the etymology for "gig" and, the related entries: fizgig giglot gigolo whirligig

Do we know if DB / MB have a specific thing for word play like they do audio / number puzzles?

[Edit: If we're lucky there might be some underlying OCD to this. If we can identify that pattern...]

Just realized, the bands represent different factions. Spectacular Nemesis is Sol. Jade Graceland Empire. Still don’t know what lasting hold is (Sirius?)...Topaz Philharmonic Alliance, then Raxxla. That’s perhaps the order.

I have considered that it could be a ship. Either of the Quest ships or perhaps even the real Antares (Anti-War God). Not sure though.

You’re right. The term describes what we’ve been led to believe of Aisling.
I’m convinced now the Lasting Hold does represent Sirius. The “S” Li Yong Rui holds in his hand is probably what this thing looks like. I saw something just like that from Prism but darker and I didn’t think to try to jump in it’s direction. Thought it was a galaxy.

Edit: It would explain his ability to “forecast”. Perhaps they dug up a ship on Lucifer. Reverse engineered it and named it The Antares, the Anti-Lucifer. The antithesis to bringer of light.

@CMDR Zulu
Greatest gig in the galaxy you say?
I bet you can't listen to this and not get shivers up your spine.

Did a little more checking on the 3D model of the Earth planes.
3-DSol-Proj.png

I put the planes in the corners of the hexagon. The different pole(north) star lines fall into the 'lanes'.
Most interesting was how the Sol - Lave line fits into the third 'lane'.

The viewing direction in this shot is flat in the Galactic plane at 6.55° left of Sag A, from Sol. Galactic coordinates: l: 6.55 b: 0.

I've checked it, in game. It lines up in the same way.
I'm sitting at about earth distanse from sol, above what should have been the winter solstice position of earth. Unfortunately the game does not match the calendar, when it comes to earths position. It's about 1/3 of an orbit off.

Bringer of light is more of a concept. If you look east before dawn while Venus is ahead of the Sun, she is the bringer of light because the Sun rises behind her, when in fact it's the Earth creating an optical illusion. Egypt had a similar concept with the heliacal rising of Sirius around July 19th, the dawn of the Sothic year.

Interesting phenomena, sometimes using the heavens as background, sometimes local bodies instead.

It's a highly complex and dynamic system, and the Earth is far from regular in it's orbital positioning...
Not in ED. :D
It's a simple circular (off center) orbit.

It's just 1286 years in the future. Not much will have happened.
ED also runs on 2014 data for the galaxy. 1286 years of propper motion has not been applied to star positions. It should basically match current data, not future data.

since raxxla is not known to any powers, much less the dark wheel, it seems that raxxla would not be in a populated system.

It will probably be close to the bubble but it would almost certainly be a non-populated system. Probably not in a scoopable star system (since those tend to get populated). Seems like brown dwarf systems would be the best candidates. Little value to powers, so little interest in extensive exploration, easily passed over by most players since they're not scoopable and tend to be unpopulated.

If raxxla was a megaship of alien origin instead of a planet, and was only described as such after many word of mouth retellings, (and nothing that's been mentioned by fdev would negate it being actually a megaship instead of a planet) then it would be easy to hide raxxla in asteroid belts. Something few if any players take the time to investigate and there are so many of them.

If i wanted to hide something in the game for potentially forever, i'd hide it in an asteroid field around some forgettable dwarf star system for sure.

edit: though if it was a megaship, i guess we'd have had people discover the textures since it seems like it would be unique.

Thought I'd try a Google friendly post:

Q: Has anyone tried to get Allied with all Dark Wheel benevolent mission receivers?
A: Yes
Q: Was a Dark Wheel invitation received?
A: No, not yet

In lieu of the questions above, how about:

Q: Has anyone tried to get Allied with all factions in all systems within a 20Ly range of Shinrarta Dezhra?
A: Yes
Q: Was a Dark Wheel invitation received?
A: No, not yet

For details see Operation Less Than Three

Assuming TDW isn’t a fan of the galactic powers, instead of being Allied with the powers has anyone ever become hostile to all the powers?

I’d have to agree with you I’d be astonished if Raxxla turned up in an inhabited system or in a system likely to draw attention.
I would assume however, that Raxxla and TDW are likely to be in/near bubble or in a constellation or in/near a nebula.
so far, as far as we know, FDev haven’t been so cruel as to hide something noteworthy or gameplay related in some nondescript far flung, in the middle of nowhere part of the galaxy yet. The FR, Colonia, Conflux, Thargoids, Generation Ships etc so far have been in or around these things so as to give us at least some idea where to look for things even if it’s still a massive undertaking to look through them.
that being their MO I’d have to assume that pattern applies to Raxxla and TDW
