Why? PvPers could still grief people in Open and people who want to enjoy Open, but not get trolled can choose the PvE option.Still a terrible idea.
Everyone wins.

Friendly reminder just because you got blown up for no reason, or no reason apparent to you, doesn’t mean you were griefed. Why? PvPers could still grief people in Open and people who want to enjoy Open, but not get trolled can choose the PvE option.

It would instill a whole new life in the game for griefersAn open pve would have so many exploits it would be amazing. Imagine all the salt
Reminder that is your opinion and while you are certainly entitled to it that doesn't make it fact. Most normal people would call getting blown up for no reason by murder hobos getting griefed.Friendly reminder just because you got blown up for no reason, or no reason apparent to you, doesn’t mean you were griefed.
thirty-something? Well thank youOr a motivated group of thirty-somethings who established Colonia's first-ever anarchy![]()
The problem is approximately the last hundred of those threads always started the namecalling and the griefer=psychopath analogy from the PvE side,It isn't a problem though? You just seem to be trying to wind people up rather than looking for common ground.
why not ask them for common ground first?
You have some loaded language there. You're calling people who don't want to take part in PvP "hardcore anti-PvP"! Do you have any justification for that? Have members of Mobius ever asked for its rules to be extended to Open? I'm pretty sure the answer is "no".how is it absurd? It's literally the rules in mobius. If you see someone else in a CZ in mobius then you're not allowed to shoot them under the group rules, even if they're on the opposing side. This is a case that already happens in the places that are controlled by the hardcore anti-pvp players.

But in those proposals, no-one has suggested removing the present Open. Those of us who want Open-PvE for ourselves don't mind if you carry on in "Open-PvP".Literally every time someone has proposed PvE-only open.
Sometimes I imagine just that. And sending them off to play Star Citisn't as eternal punishment. Then I wake up with a smile on my face. But in those proposals, no-one has suggested removing the present Open. Those of us who want Open-PvE for ourselves don't mind if you carry on in "Open-PvP".
(OK, I have occasionally seen people say "Remove Open" but its always meant as a parody of people saying "remove Solo").
So u are fine with one being able to choose mobius as long as its not broad knowledge?Frontier intended for players to have mode choice. Players have mode choice. Players exercise mode choice.
Really, I don't see the problem here.
Id say it would consolidate pgs and solo.An Open-PvE mode, if added, would further fragment the player base (and for the record, I'm perfectly fine with the 3 modes as they are now - personally I don't use PG but Solo is handy to have now and then).
If I was allowed one change though, it would be the removal of cross-mode system chat.
Because I have no interest in chatting to people that I will never meet in the game. Sys chat is useful if you're in the same system but fail to instance together (or one is in SC, the other in normal space) but I don't see the point being able to talk to people in other modes.Id say it would consolidate pgs and solo.
what??? Why would u remove crosschat??
No. The thing about "fragmenting the player base" is what's known as concern-trolling. It's just disguising a wish to control how other people play by making them stay in the mode with the rules you want if they want to meet each other. An Open-PvE mode, if added, would further fragment the player base (and for the record, I'm perfectly fine with the 3 modes as they are now - personally I don't use PG but Solo is handy to have now and then).
