Well, sold my data to Felicity, and guess what?

Nothing happened. But then I went to Shinrarta, as I had stopped at Ngurii to buy some more Soontill Relics, and thought I would sell them to the Pilots Federation, and guess what happened?
The Dark Wheel are happy and declared a public holiday in my honour! It is even in local Galnet! Well, it might not be in my honour. Or because I sold the relics. And they don't say why they have declared a holiday other than because they are happy. But that is what I am thinking. Use your imagination, right?
Imagination is about all we have!!!!!

Yeah it was fdev I remember that well however the statement is wrong considering there is many real life interstellar other galaxy systems that are within Elite dangerous.... Its wierd
I don’t think their systems are implemented in-game, they’re just painted onto the skybox background.
If Andromeda was implemented then it would look a darn site better!

The Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy is a tempting suggestion... It very close and is in a polar orbit to the Milky Way, it also apparently has a stream of stars that have been ripped out and are being pulled into our galaxy....
The Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy would be a good candidate for this theory as well. The main body of the galaxy is apparently only 25,000ly from Sol, the rest was pulled apart into stellar streams, some of which may intersect with our galaxy. I was looking for signs of it a couple years ago before I got burned out.

Catching up, been mostly asleep since Friday due to Covid, over the worst now I think.

There was that thing about Raxxla being near Lave and roaming around, so possibly looking for some rogue planet type of thing, like someone else said in another thread.

Think this was old lore. There a (iirc) Beacon in Lave certifying Lave 2 as Laves 'lost moon' which kind of references the old lore, ties it up and settles it.

Didnt it come from one of Drew Wagar's fan fiction stories?
Good to hear you're feeling a bit better!
Yes, I believe so - Mutabilis or one of the Oolite ones which are not canon IIRC. Allen Stroud's official book with the story line around Lave was not Raxxla-related and does not even mention it I think. @Vetinari sorry to hear you have been ill - get better soon.

Has anyone visited Adamastor and checked cargo and hackable radio transmitter? I've used hatchbreaker and recon limpets and got no cargo & no data, although the data transfer display seemed to be doing something. Frustrating! But it's probably me misusing them as I've not used these things for a long time.

But apparently in a livestream an FDev said something like "have you checked the cargo and data"?

So Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy in Simbad (referenced as Sgr dSpH) lists 4,115 child objects. Each of those (assuming they are unique stellar objects and not nebulae and rifts and dark regions and the like) will have a list of anywhere from a few to a couple of dozen stellar catalog identifiers, which can be checked in game in the Galaxy Map to see if it actually exists in Elite Dangerous and under what identifier, here is page 1 (of 42...):

http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/s...mit=children&siblings=102&hlinksdisplay=h_all

Similarly, Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy aka Canis Major Overdensity seems to be referenced as an open cluster as CMa in Simbad, but searching on it tells you to reference it as the subset of the star catalog MWC53 R CMa, which I can't seem to get to work correctly. If anyone figures it out let me know. [Edit: although that may reference the constellation Canis Majoris, not the Dwarf Galaxy. Very confusing. CMa Dwarf and PGC 5065047 don't seem to work at all, so the listing may not be online]

Believers in other galaxies in-game, fill your boots!
