To be fair, most of the gear is under the 200k range like suits and weapons. People would be good either way.
Er... 15 minutes using the Detailed Surface Scanner will net you enough to buy everything in EDO assuming they don't raise the prices of things.
It does affect me in terms of CGs that are simply not a lot of fun to play. Sure, they're optional and I can just ignore them, but I havent heard from a single CMDR yet that they had a good time through the course of it, isn't that the point of playing a game?Eh. Who cares? This doesn't really affect you. If people getting a bunch of fast easy money means they will get to a point where they can do what they want and play how they want, then good.
I'm not a huge fan of relogging myself, but I can't blame anyone for using it because the matreial grind is not fun.
Oh, I was never arguing the fun factor. More on the quick money for little work side. This CG is boring as f***.It does affect me in terms of CGs that are simply not a lot of fun to play. At this rate Frontier may want to consider increasing the carrier limit to 2 or 3, people won't know what to do with their credits otherwise (all the while complaining about the upkeep).Yawn....... who designs these. Whars the next CG. A free carrier?
Maybe FD should just make a button you click that gives you money, and its up to you how much you click it
But seeing the payout it just makes me sad inside as it highlights all the broken things in ED.
There is the usual stream today, I'm sure they'll comment. I imagine they'll congratulate the community on completing the goal so early. At this moment I'm just curious if any of CMs will be courageous enough to comment this.
A simple fact of most MMOs is that grind is part of the game. And if you don't like it or can't at least tolerate it, you will either have to accept that the game/genre is simply not for you, or that you won't get anywhere near endgame any time soon. ED has become a lot less grindy than it was in the beginning, which has increased the fun factor in it at least for me.It does affect me in terms of CGs that are simply not a lot of fun to play. No, carrier clutter is bad enough as it is. Don't give players a way to permanently block a carrier spot somewhere with their second or third carrier. Give us base builiding instead, or introduce the scrapped capital support ships that could support our activities or can be sent on missions of their own. These would not neccessarily need docking functionality and should only be visible to the player owning them.At this rate Frontier may want to consider increasing the carrier limit to 2 or 3, people won't know what to do with their credits otherwise (all the while complaining about the upkeep).
They'd probably mess up the UI thoughMaybe FD should just make a button you click that gives you money, and its up to you how much you click it

Pity the fools who still follow Sidewinder to Anaconda in 24 hours guides.
ED is just a lab rat environment to test repetitive loops in online games.IIRC, someone from Frontier mentioned recently that Frontier would be "looking at" relogging.
Many people have assumed they meant "we are preparing to eliminate relogging as a mechanism to harvest materials".
Perhaps what they actually meant was "we will perform a psychological experiment on our playerbase to determine how much relogging some of them are capable of doing".
Exactly. ED went from being a game about plying your trade and surviving in a harsh world, to having a guy physically hammer rolled up spacedollars down / up into you. They'd probably mess up the UI though
I just checked and I made 700m in about 30 minutes or so (already had the mats so just sat at the CG station, which conveniently has a data may trader) just by trading down and handing in mats. As in menu busy work.
That's about an A rated Corvette. In half an hour. Of not playing the game of flying space ships but pressing buttons instead.

1) Join CGI'd be happy for a 4 billion to 5 billion in 2 hours guide![]()
I tried to get that sense back with my alt account at least - and to some extent it's still there, as long as you consciously avoid all the broken mechanics (mining, CGs, and now combat also).Exactly. ED went from being a game about plying your trade and surviving in a harsh world, to having a guy physically hammer rolled up spacedollars down / up into you.
But in the end its bums on seats, so FD don't really care.
Fleet Carriers don't interest me due the ongoing running cost involved with them. Been down this road before, it reminds me of the old Freelancer game and the mod server for it called Discovery Freelancer that added stations you could build, but then they needed a constant supply of materials to keep them going. Which meant you was always doing trade runs more than anything else to keep a base going. Same thing here really with FC, they are mobile bases that you have to be constantly grinding credits out for their upkeep. Just another way to keep you playing the game more. But it gets boring and monotonous after a while.ED is just a lab rat environment to test repetitive loops in online games.
