Of course everything is OK for me, not 'perfect' - of course - but it will improve as Frontier work, even without me complaining, as they are working to improve performance, they told us so and keep assuring us that work is ongoing...
Hope springs eternal.
Tell me, if your car had a major issue and the garage told you it would take several months to source the parts to repair it, would you be on the phone to them every couple of hours to ask if it is ready yet?
No, but then car manufacturer's generally tend to have more than one customer.
If my car had a
multitude of issues, I would absolutely report them to the manufacturer. I would also expect the manufacturer's call centre to be flooded with complaints and reports of those defects every day from all their customers until they were fixed.
Edit: Just to add, I would hope that my car manufacturer would also have a working system for raising issues. As it is, a bug with Frontier's official Issue Tracker means I am unable to raise any new issues, so how else would someone in my position go about raising new issues?
That is certainly what appears to be happening here with the fixes to Odyssey
Then it may be a good idea to spend less time on the forums while the game still has a multitude of issues, because you're just going to be disappointed otherwise.
As for everyone else claiming to have issues (even those with allegedly superior hardware to my own) with Odyssey? Issues they may have, but there is nothing to be gained by calling out that they have issues when Frontier's dev team are working full-time to deal with the issues, it isn't going to make them work any faster, is it?
Actually, the more people that provide evidence and report their own experiences, hardware configuration, etc..., the more information FDev will have available to help nail down the issues.
Sorry that you don't like it, but most people really are trying to contribute meaningfully and really do want to see this game fixed. But people are also getting understandably impatient, and that's going to show.
As of right now, FDev have not said anything that gives me confidence that they know what is causing these problems, let alone how to fix them. It's 5 months and 7 updates later, and they appear to be no closer to a solution.
