One thing fer sure...if anyone who plays DCS regularly ever had the nerve to virtually cringe at what anyone would spend on SC for jpegs and spaceships, I would just offer a knowing smile in reply![]()
Through careful research and analysis, I have discovered the secret initiation ceremony for the Star Citizen Order of the White Knight.
Behold!
Not at all...since I'm one of themare you implying that such a person is a hypocrite? I don't think your consideration is valid because the 2 games aren't close in their states.
Backers who only put in the bare minimum for whatever reason, rely on other people to keep the game funded. So they have to bang the drum hoping that they can lure some unwary gulliblemugsgamers to do what they are unwilling to do themselves, purchase an account and buy some jpegs. Hell! maybe even buy an Idris.
It wasn't a serious comment to shift focus away from SC's silliness...just a nod to the amounts involved for jpegs and things to fly in. Total cost of DLC for DCS (including some nice jpegs of stuff not yet released to flyable), $2,600. IL2 Great battles series is much the same. I know because I own both titles and a good lot of the jpegs and fancy-schmancy things to fly or drive in.On the other hand, with DCS you get what you pay for.
Spectrum is livin' it up at the Hotel California...

Why Players Lone Wolf - Star Citizen Spectrum
I just want to make AUEC to earn the next ship. Crewing up with players cut into my profits, its far more profitable to play alone. PvE missions are so easy to solo, I don't need other people and...robertsspaceindustries.com
Anyway, it will be necessary to organize when we are dispersed in several solar systems. Sometimes it will take several hours to find each other.
But, but, but...you just don't understand group development and planning! He's not wrong for a certain type of player, but there are players who will choose group play over solo even if the rewards are less. They just want the multiplayer experience.
However, the wierdos are out in force of course
LOL, taking several hours before you even start to play? And they think this is ok?
Most people don't have several hours spare before they start really playing.

Reminds me of the good old days in elite when i was told that hours long ship transfer times were a good thing!
How hard is to play anything that is not World of Warcraft?"
You filthy casual.Reminds me of the good old days in elite when i was told that hours long ship transfer times were a good thing!
Fortunately FD never implemented that, unless you're talking about transfer to Colonia.
Yes they did. Colonia is days, almost a week. Or at least it was.
EDIT: not a week. not sure why i was thinking 60 hours was a week lol
Quite pointless in the bubble, especially considering the prohibitive fees involved. As I said, unless you're talking about Colonia.
In the bubble, where most transfers are, its anywhere between 5 mins and perhaps an hour and a half from one side of the bubble to the other.
But ok, let's agree that its bad. Doesn't make what the SC backers are dreaming of happening any better.
And remember, this is a game you're invested in, and there are people dreaming, hoping, explaining its CIG's vision, to actually have insanely long travel times and take hours to meet up.
Rather than pointing out issues with ED, perhaps your time would be better spent fighting the idiots over on Spectrum who want SC to be that sort of game.![]()
I have to come clean with you guys - it's true.@Ebob
Tell you what Ebob, I would bet my house on the fact that if you were not so emotionally and financially invested in the propaganda and horse manure factory that is CIG you'd be calling it out for what it is too. In fact, if fate had spun our roles reversed and ED was sitting on a decade long alpha and SC was released in some sort of coherent state you would be absolutely slaughtering Elite Dangerous and rightly so, as you would ANY OTHER GAME.
The following sayings and expressions may help you 'get it' - though to be honest deep down I find it impossible to believe you don't already.
"There are none as blind as those who will not see"
"You should not throw good money after bad"
"Beware the little boy that cries 'wolf'"
"The trust of the innocent is the liars most powerful tool"
You go on about throwing more money at them when clearly the previous 400-500 million has worked wonders for your game hasn't it? I mean my god, you have been linked god knows how many lies, misdirections and smikescreens and you still defend it. You defend lying, you defend endless alpha, you defend being part of a clan that is setting a god awful precedent for ALL your fellow gamers if it is indeed 'ok', (it bloody isn't!). You defend ridiculous amounts and variations of unfinished, incomplete, unfixed 'gameplay', you defend the 'BDSSE' having one incomplete star system, no orbital mechanics and less game loops than 'Snake'. You defend CIG selling ridiculous packages cost wise to people on the back of more lies about what is going to be achievable with said packages. You retcon history with regards to SQ42 - or attempt to - and you defend it all as if your bloody life depends on it.
Why?
EDIT - Is it just me or does it seem that on Spectrum a lot of the faithful pretend they've spent 10X what they probably have to impress their fellow Citizens but on platforms away from that they're all in for only $65?...........hmmmm, makes ya thunk innit.
I have to come clean with you guys - it's true.
I am a giga whale, I have purchased 34 Idris Frigates, 20 Javelins, 3 Legatus packages, I have partied on Chris Roberts' private yacht, I am the only person in the SC community beside Bootcha that has achieved the status of Ultra Giga Legatus Concierge Member, I have Chris Roberts on my quick dial, I ring him up whenever I doubt the new Roadmap. He assures me that concept ship development is going well every time.
You see, Star Citizen as you know it does not exist. Derek Smart the wise along with every member from the Star Citizen refund sub broke into CIG offices after the 2017 Holiday livestream and took CIG employees captive. Nobody knows where they are now, One thing is for sure though is that since that incident, nobody works at CIG anymore, beside Roberts and somebody who is keeping all of these russian shill bots alive. Ever interacted with a CIG Dev? He's not real, merely a fake account created by Roberts Subsumption Technology.
"Star Citizen" is a project financed by the deep state as a large marketing experiment to test the limits of what gamers are willing to buy. It is used to train the AI Algorithms of software giants like EA.
I was never supposed to tell you this, it is highly likely Derek Smart and his Refund agents are on their way to my place of residence to kill me.
