I still think Neptune is said gas giant and Triton (Being Neptunes 8th moon listed, Proteus being actual number 8 however) hold the Darkwheel station although permit locked as it is maybe crashed/destroyed which pushed them into Shinrarta instead..food for thought and maybe Fdev dont want us to find this out yet, or there is a way of getting Tritons permit without knowing yet

I read somewhere that it was locked because of bugs, so don't hope so much

Well, when was that?
I was harking back to what DW reported - that DB had said something like “we know where Raxxla is and why it hasnt been found yet” (although DW only said it the once & no corroboration as far as I know). If true it might mean that nobody had at that time got the Elite rank needed to gain entry to Shinrarta, where I suspect the next clue might be.

Edit: actually first one player to Elite might well have been reported in the Newsletter!
And have they stopped producing them? Cant remember when I last received one!

There was Cmdr onepercent... Renamed himself after 1% hull left after a scrap if I remember correctly... Having vaguely remembered and Googled him...It looks like whilst he was first to triple elite I believe the first to the individual ones where "CMDR Lordkee took home £1000 for winning the trade prize, CMDR Fromtonrogue won the combat prize, and the wonderfully-named CMDR Tequila won the exploration prize." Which is detailed at the end of the news article.

I should also have the newsletters if you want me to look for the prize winner notification..

Has anyone experimented with sap 8? FD could have just removed or hidden it, but it's still in the game. there must be a reason? Useless little thing is transported by a convoy of the best ships in the game, nothing suspicious. Has anyone tried giving it to the Thargoids to sniff? or drop with all their stuff. And don't forget about guardian. thanks google translate 1 post in all these years

In theory, thargoids should shoot it exactly the same as guardian relics because SAP 8 Core containers have fragments of relic.
Or maybe fdev didn't implemented them that way.

That’s actually a good angle.

Sap 8 containers hold a foot long crystalline shard of unknown origin. These originate from the now removed Dark Wheel missions ‘Discrete Redistribution Agent Desired’. Or were at least linked.

Now first off, if FD removed the missions why haven’t they also removed Sap 8 containers?

Secondly the description of the Sap 8 sounds very much like Guardian shards…if they are Guardian in nature, they ought to make Thargoid’s aggressive, if they don’t what does that mean?

A number of assumptions could be as follows:

FD haven’t removed them because they simply forgot to do so.

They are irrelevant, due to that mission tree being defunct, so they are not worth the resources to remove.

They are guardian tech, linked to a defunct narrative, but never activated to work with current content (see above).

They are not guardian tech and something else entirely, likely linking to discovering the real DW or Raxxla from the now defunct missions (see above).

They are something else.

This is a good point to press towards FD. Because first off they confirmed that historical missions were removed; because we asked - if they are in game, said inclusion (if broken) is pointing the consumer to interact with ‘broken’ content and waste their time.

The same logic and questioning can be directed at FD.

Technically if they are ‘historically broken content’ first off they should not be in game, if they are they ought to be acknowledged as a ‘bug’. Because their inclusion advocates you ought to interact with them, if they are a bug, FD are encouraging the customer to play with broken content and effectively ‘waste’ their time.

Conclusion: Report it as a bug.

If FD say working as intended, question it’s inclusion against the above logic. Likely wont resolve in anything….

Ah thanks. I did find the Race to Elite results reported in a EuroGamer article, and edited my post on Sunday with those results. Unfortunately the edit doesn’t seem to have taken. I’m having browser problems at the moment. For example when I look at or refresh this thread the current page often shows me as logged out, but when I reload from a save bookmark it shows me (correctly) loged in. And Reddit pages are now showing shifted left by a couple of characters. Think I’m going to have to do a reset on my iPad, but it’s 10 years old now & not sure it will recover!
Oh, and Norton is flagging this as an unsafe site!

Many has, but at the right place, the right time, with the right methods is hard to say.
We probably need a methodical approach to all these 'container & commodity tests'. There are more artifacts that are interesting to test in methodical manners.

  • How? Just keep it in the inventory? Drop & listen? Shoot at it? Offer it to someone? Sell it on the market?
  • Where? Suggestion of places? Stations? Megaships?
  • When? At a specific time? At a specific event? In a system state such as War or Boom?

I'm just spitballing how we could approach this more methodical. Ideas?

I did just find a new behavior with Thargoid sensors, I think its what FDev alluded a while back that we missed something on that item. Not exactly sure if its Raxxla related but still kinda neat. Will post video today/tomorrow.

Anyone know where to get or has a spare probe? can buy off of you via fleet carrier

There is another salvage "Ancient relic" nothing to do with guardian relic but still exist on markets, can you ask for it too pls ;)

Well, reset my iPad. But still playing up!

Yes, I suspect it’s Safari playing up. I’ve installed Opera, cos Chrome Edge and Firefox all need later versions of ios than I can install. But cant figure out how to synchronise bookmarks. Currently have Safari & PC Firefox synching via iCloud.
Might have to buy a new tablet, after paying the gas & elec , tv licence, window repair, podiatrist and pet food bills....life is expensive, then Pootin goes mad!

Suppose I could relegate this ipad to gameglass.

Mmm, the odd logged in/not logged in behaviour on this thread is still happening with Opera.
Anyone else having problems?

Fun fact. If you search for the planet 'Grey' (Orrere) in the galaxy map, you will see that there is a comet in Lave.

Grey's comet:)

I have no idea who this Grey fellow is, but he has put his mark on the Old Worlds.

Didnt you ever hear of the gray fox? Goes well with all of Elites snake references :ROFLMAO:

Also, a quick question about the Sap 8 containers, have they been tested in any of the Thargoid structures, those that activate some kind of star map?

I know that guardian tech will get the structure going crazy and get you attacked by scavengers, but has anyone already tried it?

As far as I remember there was a group of players that tested these sites with all commodity's even rare ones, Unfortunately it doesn't accept any human type cannisters

Thanks Cmdr, good to know, saved me some time for going and trying some shenanigans with them.... unless you're some form of misinformation agent and is attempting to dissuade me from trying and discovering some hidden content?
Nah just cheerfully playing you mate.😁
Thanks.

If it helps I have tried with some stuff myself back when Guardian relics where found to be accepted....all I done was waste time, money buying the items and boredom lol
