Cull and Seethe. Ebob's favourite motto.
Imagine a buggy game in perpetual alpha more enjoyable than a game released without bugs !Obviously my perpetual-alpha game does everything way better than certain other non-alpha state games. Especially bugs. Bugs are way better in my alpha than any other game. Can even create emergent content from bugs. Imagine that.
No need to beg, we have something new every quarter.Star Citisn't is reverse engineering: Overpromise and then cull so hard the customers beg for anything to be delivered so they have at least something to show for their sunk moneys.
My grandma says the only thing that matters is the release of SQ42.You should also ask Katie or Drew Wagar what they think about the released or not argument. It seems they haven't understood that being released is the only thing that matter for a game.
How would you know from Wagar? All I could learn from him was some incoheren't "Hehehe. Hahaha." which seemed to originate from the gameplay, but the footage didn't match up. And "delightful Katie" sure is setting the cleavage into the right light - too bad the audience is so limited. Maybe it's easier to catch a whale as sugar daddy - Star Cullingen is a very niche audience and quite a sausage fest.No thanks. The views of those two individuals have been spammed here to such an extent I probably know what type of toilet fittings they would prefer in their BMM.
...
Seeing some well know and respected players enjoying SC past the honey moon is not easy for you, you can't call them cultist, stupid or gullible players to dismiss them. I don't think that trying to connect them to toilets narrative will do the trick.
And some of you here are still incapable to talk about the strongest points of SC in a good light.Hah. I'm actually happy if people enjoy SC. I'd rather people get something out of Chrissy's clownshow development than not. That goes for you too. (And in an ideal world, for me as well. If the game were ever to actually reach some form of finalised state, with some form of promised VR support. Not that I'm holding my breath you understand)
And the thing is: You know this. Nobody can count the number of times this thread has said as a whole: 'Have fun!'. If that's all the post is trying to say: That they have fun.
It's when you extend the claim of 'X is having fun' to a larger meta claim that it all becomes absurd. Like previously when you tried to argue that Kate et al represented a "moving definitively from one to another" for the vast majority of players, and signified a "downfall of the skeptics". Just crazy, overblown extrapolation
And right now you're trying to talk past the issue of the many refunders who palpably hate the game due to misrepresented roadmaps and lack of delivery for what they paid for. Drew going 'Ooo' (in what is categorically still his honeymoon stage) doesn't actually wipe that out, you know? A couple of individuals enjoying something doesn't tell us very much about anything at all...
But an entire subreddit dedicated to wresting refunds out of a still unlaunched game? And the nigh weekly unique tales of regret at ever having gone through the honeymoon stage at all? They probably tell us a little bit more![]()
Because posting here hundred random quotes from the average joe gamer (always those negatives about SC, never the good ones) tell us more ?A couple of individuals enjoying something doesn't tell us very much about anything at all...
And some of you here are still incapable to talk about the strongest points of SC in a good light.
It's not that "They probably tell us a little bit more". It's that, here, some of you are unable to talk about anything else than the refund, bugs or that Saltmike after 5 hours of playtime had 2 bugs and made a rant.
Because posting here hundred random quotes from the average joe gamer (always those negatives about SC, never the good ones) tell us more ?
What if I collect every good phrases about SC posted by ED players in other threads or from youtube and post them here ? It will tell you more ? Hopefully for you, I don't have enough time for it.
Nice attempt at deflection...but no, to give Ant his proper due he briefly mentioned ED players who perhaps may have some positivity surrounding SC...nothing more. And we're back to ED in a thread about Star Citizen I see, in fact most of the thread seems to be about ED, surely that's just a wee bit off topic?
That is just the thing. By most relevant metrics available out there (player concurrency data estimated from CR statements, individual backer number etc) it just isn’t. Even your own personal score of SC is a mediocre (and probably quite generous) 6/10.Imagine a buggy game in perpetual alpha more enjoyable than a game released without bugs !
You don't even play the game404 gameplay not found
You know why they went with Vulkan? It's so easy a thing they cull can.
But I, and many others here, do.You don't even play the game
And some of you here are still incapable to talk about the strongest points of SC in a good light.
Has a legit decent escape from an 11th hr death. A working game system (attritional damage) causes him to eject to his likely doom, only to be rescued cinematically by a nearby mate... SC at its current best...

For the 338,001,228th time, buying a bling barge is the way the project is funded. Buy it if you want to support CIG. You don't want to support ? Don't buy the alpha or just stick to the base package.
