So what are you hoping for on Wednesday's Stream?

I'm intrigued, that's what we have at the moment (bar the promise of "never") - why aren't you doing that while you still can?
Personally, since Odyssey's release I have not touched Horizons. Now that I am used to it, I prefer the Odyssey landscape generation and there's a lot more rock scatter making it closer aligned to the concept graphic updates that were released with Beyond.

I always hope for additions and enhancements that will add depth and meaning to the gameplay. The last real example of this was planet landing and the Alien ruins imho...

I'm hoping FD will commit to sorting out all Odyssey's performance issues and iron out the bugs. I'm not sure if they actually will do it though.

Not being remotely realistic of course... but part of me hopes FDev announce they're handing the entire Elite Dangerous project over to another developer so they can fully concentrate on their increasing stable of management games and can finally stop kicking around this old space game that they seem to be really strugglng with.

My personal dreamlist is an announcement for plans to fix and add depth to existing gameplay (c&p, faction relations, npc's, difficulty curve & design, crime gameplay, engineering, etc)

But since that's a far away dream. I am just hoping for a clear sign of design direction for the game. Even if they announce that the focus will be on the casual fps gameplay or whatever.

As long as its a clear and dedicated design plan, so I can finally stop wondering about the untapped potential, and finally move on.

The only reason I've logged into Horizons is that its bookmarks page is better suited for Buckyball Racing.

I've spent the rest of my time in Odyssey. I feel like there's better mission variety (even if I loathe the sprint between hangar and concourse in stations), better planet variety, better interface overall (the bookmarks page is more useful in general), a greater variety of destinations. NPCs in Settlements especially make the world feel more alive.

Of course, I have a computer that's capable of running Odyssey in VR at high quality these days, but my eight year old computer is able to run VR at low quality even in Settlements now, so that's an improvement. (y)

Really hope there is some meat to this thing. If it's just platitudes there is going to be much gnashing of teeth on this 'ere forum.

Along with Elephant Butt Leather [...]
Today's announcement: "We are pleased to announce a new rare commodity - Elephant Butt Leather! This is sold at Elephant's Trunk Mine in the GM Cephei system, and it is the most valuable commodity in the galaxy. Just be warned, hauling this commodity will distort the space around your ship, introducing many side effects like terrible flickering disco shadows. Transport at your own risk!"
