Yeah I get you man. I'm sorry but you original selections will stand as I can't just allow people re-voting when/if they just change their mind about their original votes. If this still applies, with the addition of the Amur leopard and the scimitar-horned oryx I have two new slots opening up. But what to choose?
Another monkey of course! And also...
31. Golden lion tamarin.
32. Bennett's wallaby.
I do wish I could change others now, but of course I understand the complexities of the rule and the work @random goat puts in. For example, I first picked the white-cheeked gibbon on my initial list, but even at the time I would have preferred the siamang (I just went with what I felt was more likely). So really, I'm happy with our siamang and no longer want the white-cheeked gibbon on my list. Similarly, the Iberian lynx is no longer important to me. Oh well!
You have already submitted a list, quite a while ago. You can add 5 additional animals if you wish, as well as re-submit votes for already-in-game animals. Please read the whole Opening Post before you do so; you have to quote your original list in order to re-submit votes. Now that the new DLC has been announced, I feel like it's a good time for me to share my essential habitat wishlist species.

Sorry but your leopard vote went for the African leopard so it will stay on the list. I'll only add the Golden pheasant then and not the crane.Looks like I've got 1 or 2 this time depending on how you count the leopard.
I'll be replacing the oryx with the pheasant and if I'm allowed, I'll be replacing the leopard with the crane. The priority is on the pheasant, if I'm allowed only one change.
- Golden pheasant: This game is severely lacking in birds, a group of animals that dominate zoo collections. The truth is, we don't even need an aviary expansion to address some of these birds; of which many aren't even ratites. Although the game still needs that expansion badly.
- Grey-crowned crane: Same reasons.
As you've been told, please highlight what are your new additions just like most people did. That would make things much easier for me and it will only take you a few seconds.Rewrote my list to fit with the DLCs of year 3.
- Dromedary
- Collared Peccary
- Brown-Throated "Three-Toed" Sloth
- Great White Pelican
- "African" Crested Porcupine
- Nine-Banded Armadillo
- Hamadryas Baboon
- Takin
- Fossa
- Maned Wolf
- "Eastern" Wild Turkey
- Red River Hog
- Wolverine
- Emu
- Tasmanian Devil
- Striped Hyena
- Secretary-bird
- Common Wombat
- Spectacled Bear
- Walrus
- Green Sea Turtle
- "Common" Bottlenose Dolphin
- West Indian Manatee
- Blacktip Reef Shark
- Cownose Ray
Aight, time to update this now that we can do so. Replacement species are in bold (the ones that need to be counted).
1. Addax - Even with the Scimitar-Horned Oryx, the desert biome and North Africa still need more representation. Also, I loved pairing the oryx and addax in the same enclosures in Zoo Tycoon 2 and wanna be able to do that again here.
2. African Crested Porcupine - I'm basically just joining the bandwagon here. More rodents are always appreciated.
3. Bennett's Wallaby -
4. Common Wombat - Literally just need more Australian animals. I would not mind the Southern Hairy-Nosed, but I kinda want this one more now that I've actually voted for it and want to be able to replace it when we do get a wombat (I brought this upon myself ,:').
5. Emu - THE single most necessary animal for inclusion in my eyes. It feels so wrong that we've gotten this far without it.
6. Fossa - Now that we have three lemur species in the roster, I think it's about time their apex predator gets added. One of the most unique carnivores appearance-wise.
7. Geoffroy's Spider Monkey - More new world monkeys. 'Nuff said.
8. Golden Lion Tamarin - More new world monkeys, but this time they're tini.
9. Goodfellow's Tree-Kangaroo - Probably one of the biggest animals to not make the first list. I prefer Goodfellow's as that's what Oceanian zoos tend to have (I'm gonna be so screwed if we get Matschie's tho).
10. Hamadryas Baboon - Probably the last old world monkey I really need, but I would definitely kill to get some other ones after. More desert and North African animals should be of high priority tbh.
11. Japanese Raccoon Dog - Lil pupper. One of the more unique canines not in the game yet, and adds to the ever-increasing number of East Asian animals.
12. Lar Gibbon - Not allowed to get rid of this guy even with the Siamang being added. Not that I was going to remove it anyway cus I honestly want two gibbons in the game.
13. Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth - Honestly, three-toed sloths are one of the few mammals to actively creep me out, something about their face feels off to me. I still want a sloth though so this is my pick, even if I'd be okay with a three-toed.
14. Little Blue Penguin - I want a penguin I can use for Australian-based zoos. Little guy is so distinct from the other two we have it shouldn't be a problem.
15. Maned Wolf - Second highest ranking animal on the list as of this post. South America still needs far more diversity and this is probably one of the most distinctive canines Frontier could add right now.
16. Muskox - A caprid that represents the arctic FAR better than the Dall Sheep does.
17. Red River Hog - Quite surprised this wasn't added in the wetlands pack considering it's a very popular option and it literally has RIVER in it's name.
18. Rock Hyrax - Probably the most out of left field of the new choices, I just really like these little guys. They're definitely a viable option size-wise as they're bigger than the meerkats.
19. Saiga Antelope - I'm surprised this animal broke the top 40 animals. Despite not really being in captivity in recent years this animal is too unique appearance-wise and biome-wise to ignore. Give us all the funni schnozz animals.
20. Secretary Bird - More birds. Can never have enough birds.
21. South American Coati - South America needs more animals and coatis are just perfect imo.
22. Takin - Takins are starting to feel like the binturong for me (except nowhere near as cool as binturongs are my favourite animal of all time). I'm talking in the sense of the species is very well known to the general public but there's so many in zoos at this stage it just makes sense to include them for the diehard zoo fans. Also more goats are always appreciated (The first animal on my mind to replace the next added animal is also a goat that is very dear to me, just you wait).
23. Tasmanian Devil - It's exlusion from the Conservation Pack raises some eyebrows in my mind considering it's now the number one most voted animal on the wishlist. I predict it'll headline one of the next two dlcs this year.
24. Walrus - The biggest pinniped currently in captivity. We need more tundra animals, and it honestly the Arctic just needs to be filled up better (the Arctic Pack really shouldn't have been the first dlc if that was how it was gonna be handled tbh).
25. Wolverine - We had THREE packs that could've included these lil rascals. What's going on here? Does Frontier just have something against wolverines? I just don't get it.
We're slowly starting to edge out of the territory of "animals that I want but also think should just be in the game for practical reasons" to "I just want this animal because it's cool". Hopefully the next two packs allow me to expand that category further (species currently on my mind but didn't make this list proper are Himalayan Tahr, Cotton-Top Tamarin and the Short-Beaked Echidna).
Edit: Gave explanations for each species again (didn't do it at the start cus it's very time consuming).
This applies to both posts above: I am sorry, but unfortunately I cannot accept your changes. I know that you most likely acted in good faith and you did nothing wrong by editing your original post was a mistake because now I have no way to check whether you made changes to your original list or not. I know you might find this 'unfair' but I ask you to put yourselves in my position. I can't just accept people to resubmit votes if I can't check whether they 'have the right' to do so.Oh boy, this one got 3 of my list, and even one of the exhibit animals I'll have to revisit in the corresponding thread. I had already addressed the capybara in a previous post (swapped it for the red fox). Not gonna attempt to remove the gibbon tho; I really want a lar.
Anyway:
27. Gerenuk
28. Patagonian mara
29. Banded mongoose
Should I edit the original post with the animals that made in crossed out and the remplacement next to them instead?
In that case I choose armadilloAlright addressing some stuff while I get everything sorted:
Please quote your original list so I can verify it. I won't add add anything until you post your quote.
Yeah sorry Iberian ibex stands. I swapped the black rhino though.
Eh, thanks for the list but you should have read the rules

So, three of my initial 20 are now in game and I’d remove one since a similar species has been added.. adding 5 more is, therefore, a win. Oceania remains the least well represented region in the world so I’m just going to go ahead and add animals from there

OK then! Here is the actual new one:Yes, it makes things easier for Random Goat that way. If you had voted for a generic Gibbon,I suspectyou would have been able to revote that Slot, but yours is specifically Lar.
Edit: Now reading up on Random Goat's announcement, I can confirm what I just said about generic votes.
Please next time I would appreciate if you specified/highlighted ONLY the animals that you're adding this specific time (just Mantled Guereza in this case). At first it would seem as if you were asking to add/replace all the others too, which has been done before. Thanks regardless.6. Mantled Guereza
You are right, and while it is definetely not ideal, it is fine. The system in place, while encourages to choose specific species, allows for more broad, generic choices. At first this was implemented for people who might not be that sharp or knowledgeable of taxonomy or specific species, but now I see people are just taking advantage of the system@random goat
Question: I was under the impression at first that you need to list a specific species, and not a group. For instance, 'African bush elephant' instead of 'elephant'.
But what I see people do now (and understandably so, because I want to do it now too wherever I can) is to not pick a specific species but go with a group. For example 'tree kangaroo' instead of 'matschie's tree kangaroo' --to protect themselves in case the goodfellows tree kangaroo is added to the game instead. This way the vote slot opens up and they can pick a new animal. Makes perfect sense.
I just want to make sure: Is this ok?
And I thank you very much for sharing this as evidence. Your new votes will now be valid. However, I fail to see the three animals you want to replace. Did you count the '(African) leopard'? If that's the case, that vote can't be replaced as the African leopard subspecies will stay in the list.@random goat
So, what should I do? I edited the original post striking through the animals that were added, but, its quotation in my recent post was unedited. I may also link to my update when the Wetlands pack dropped, which had a quotation of unedited text.
EDIT:

As you can see, the unedited post from March 31st has in its quotation the unaltered list, hasn't been edited, and was aknowledged for usage in this list.
Im gonna pick something stupid without single vote: bawean deer12. Amur Leopard
Here is mine:
1) Gaur
2) Nilgai
3) Takin (any subspecies)
4)Przewalski wild horse
5) European bison
6)Leopard (better if an Asian subspecies: Amur, Javan or Sri Lanka, but I want a leopard)
7)Eurasian lynx
8) Fossa
9)Capybara
10) Lar gibbon (or any othe gibbon or even the siamang)
11)Moose
12)Cougar
13) Common eland

15) Wolverine
16)Sea lion (any species)
17) Bennet's wallaby
18) Gelada (or any other baboon)
19) Guereza colobus
20) Walrus
After the conservation pack I can add two more species in replacement of the wild horse and leopard (I don't know if, as I said any gibbon even the siamang that counts, but I still want the lar gibbon so I'll keep it)My new additions (the 5 extra + the 5 for the DLCs) would be:
1) Tasmanian devil
2) Black howler monkey
3) Honey badger
4) Greater kudu
5) Red river hog
6) Markhor
7) Tree kangaroo
8) Crested pourcupine

I would like to add to my wishlist the following five animals:
The ones who almost made the cut were the caracal, the blackbuck, the lar gibbon and the maned wolf, but I had to draw the line unfortunately. I do want to say, though, that I really want more primates in the game, even if my list doesn't really represent that wish.
- Patagonian Mara
- South American Coati
- Mantled Guereza
- Walrus
- Red River Hog
And finally, thank you so much @random goat for maintaining and so regularly updating this awesome list! Checking the developments on this thread is one of my favorite parts of the PZ community, and you're doing such an awesome job here.
