I spoke too soon! Passing through the Musca Dark Region on the way back to the bubble and the area is FESTOONED with the 'Goids.
You mean... you've never been hyperdicted?I have yet to encounter a Thargoid. I stopped playing just before they were introduced, around the time of the first UA discoveries and since rejoining, haven't been interdicted. I agree about the 'Boss' fight thing. Not my cup of tea either.
I have encountered many of them over the time they have been in the game but have been pulled out of a hyper jump by them only about twice in all that time.I have yet to encounter a Thargoid. It's like having a green thumb, only yours is an earth thumb. Or something. Grats, tho
Isn't there some kind of approval "group" somewhere that reviews names people give certain areas, systems or planets? How does that work? I always thought (in real life, anyway) that a discoverer of just about anything is allowed to name what they discovered. It's like having a green thumb, only yours is an earth thumb. Or something. In my experience, there's no such thing as 'Box of Things I'll Never Throw Away in Case I Might Need it Some Day', only 'Things I haven't thrown away for years, and now that I need them I realise I've just thrown them away last week'.I found a spare 12V fan in my 'Box of Things I'll Never Throw Away in Case I Might Need it Some Day'. The temp hasn't gone above 72*C tonight, which is weird because it feels warmer than that outside.
I have a label on my box which says 'Be Careful, you may need this next week'.In my experience, there's no such thing as 'Box of Things I'll Never Throw Away in Case I Might Need it Some Day', only 'Things I haven't thrown away for years, and now that I need them I realise I've just thrown them away last week'.![]()
Fortunately, FDEV decided to pre-name everything. Otherwise we'd have a galaxy full of stupid, rude, or obscene names.Isn't there some kind of approval "group" somewhere that reviews names people give certain areas, systems or planets?
