Console Profile Copy Process - Live Now!

Okay, if somebody doesn't mind explaining something to me; if I already own Horizons/Odyssey, and want to transfer my console save over, I have to clear my save, right? Will everything that I've bought with Arx from both PC and Console be on the same account afterwards?
 
Go here > Inara <
Create a profile
Link it to your Frontier Account
On Inara go to Commander Settings>Misc Settings
There you can create your Signature Image from your profiles details and generate a BB code for it
Go back to ED Forums and add that code to the signature of your forum profile
Okay, thanks. I figured it was something to do with Inara. Many thanks to you and Merlin for explaining how to navigate around. It's been a hot minute since I last logged on there and I saw they totally revamped the site.

Good morning everyone!

I just wanted to say, I’m all caught up with this thread here and my little heart beats so happy for those of you who completed/are currently completing the process.

The extra ‘oomph’ we applied and little fix for that sneaky database error earlier on this side seems to have slimmed the wait times and solved troubles completing.

All completed 👍 took most of the night to install but that down to Norfolk speed connections. Still not 100% sure if I want EDO but atleast I can stay involved with the galaxy on 2 formats now.
The laptop will also work with my Thrustmaster Hotas and peddles too 🤘
All I need now is a VR headset then everything will be perfect.

I created a new account before transfer, and I did the transfer. It is complete. I have a copy on Xbox of the game, but when I check my account on the frontier store it says I don't have anything. Did I not get my copy of horizons because I didn't create the account at time of transfer? If so, how do I get it now? I can't seem to find where to submit a ticket as it only takes me to knowledgebase when I select the ticket option on the store page,

That was my issue this morning too.

My transfer completed over night.
I left the transfer page open but then in the morning i could not download the Frontier Launcher (link expired)
Then i went to the Frontierstore, logged it with my new account, only to find out there is no Elite there. Nothing whatsoever.
So... how will i be able download the game?
Eventually, before clogging the support with yet another ticket, i did a refresh on that page and the download link refreshed and i could download the Launcher.

do we need to do something regarding the missing Elite Dangerous Horizons from our (new) FrontierStore accounts?
My concern is how will i download the game if i want to reinstall later on? (new computer etc...)


Go to the Frontier User Account page, and login using the Frontier login, not one of the partner tabs... and when it logs in, it should show you your FID, and it should say Platform : Frontier

Then, you need to launch the Frontier Luncher, and sign in to the same account.

Yea, but there is no download link there.
How do i launch the Forntier Launcher if i cannot download it, since i have no Elite in my FrontierStore account and the Store actually prompts me to buy Elite Dangerous?
 
I have an XBox account and a STEAM account with different Commande names and different email addresses but cant seem to complete the transfer process, is STEAM classed as PC?
 
Just to confirm; Decommissioning is only needed if you need the credits. I went through in the hangar of my carrier and my PC Cmdr spawned in same spot, all ships and modules are aboard. 👍

indeed, my new account logged in at the same location as my xb account, all the ships and modules are on my xb account carrier.
having enough credits, i decided to skip the carrier decommissioning - 42bn are more than enough for my new Frontier account :D

Yeah it took me a few minutes to figure out where everything had been moved to so I could link my Inara profile up to my new PC account.

👆This. The wording of the FAQ implies you must decommision, but I figured a) I didn't need the credits and b) the galaxy's cluttered with enough decommissioned carriers as it is and went through with the PS4 carrier still in service & fleet docked on-board. No problems encountered.

Gonna need a new dredger clan to go around the Bubble scrapping old carriers after all this... :sneaky:
 
I have 2 XBox One EDH accounts and only want to transfer the secondary account to my STEAM account which has EDO (which i play via my XBox, Edge, NVidia and Steam) and the EDH account ad STEAM account have different Commander names and different email addresses but i cant seem to complete the transfer process, is my STEAM account classed as a PC account or is transferring from Consile to STEAM not possible please?
 
Just wanted to say thanks to the guys at FD who got this process sorted - started the transfer around 3pm yesterday from my work PC and when I got home around 5.30pm the transfer was done and the profile completely playable via my PC. Excellent work!
 
Might sound like stupid question but I have just transfered my profile over and purchased Odyssey do i need to download both Odyssey and Elite Dangerous Horizons from the launcher?

If you want the option of just launching the game into Horizons, then yes.

Bearing in mind that later this week (atm) Horizons 4.0 will also be added to the launcher as a separate available download.

My advice would be to download both of them now, there are still some issues that may require you logging into Horizons to fix. You can decide if you want to download Horizons 4.0 later, but if you have the option of playing in Odyssey then I personally don't think there's a need to.

Currently Horizons means client version 3.8 and it's a separate 25 GB download
Odyssey means the new client version 4.0 and it's a separate 40GB download

Download whatever version you want to play


Bearing in mind that later this week (atm) Horizons 4.0 will also be added to the launcher as a separate available download.

When Horizons 4.0 will be added, i would expect it to share the same gamefiles with Odyssey 4.0 (so no extra download needed to play either the 4.0 base game or the 4.0 dlc)
In which case, you can simply skip downloading the current (old) Horizons 3.8

I also have so much money I'm not going to decommission my PS4 carrier but it doesn't have a shipyard or outfitting. Will my PC account's ships and modules end up on the nearest station?
