The only time I will allow passengers on my ships is when evacuating them from a burning station, even then the attempts to bribe me to leave early and abandon their friends and neighbours is almost enough to make me not bother.
Well, i was able to make <> 10 million per trip, that's roughly 50 to 60 million/h depending on availability of 10 mil+ contracts, the highest I've seen was 20 million.
The Anaconda was good enough for doing this and I tried to run it without shiled but then the autodock keep sending me against the walls of the station and I was losing contracts.
With the
Beluga Liner, I'm able to use Luxury cabins and overal it pays a little more, it's all a question of ballancing the classes of cabins, note that I am playing Horizons Solo, so it might be a little different but basically CEOS to Syrius Athmospheric is relatively well paid, you have to pay attention to mission messages because sometimes a nutter wants you to "eliminate enemies", meaning you're gonna be hunted, interdicted and shot at. When the message pops out, I U-turn and disembark the passenger.
It is hugely improved from how it was at launch and runs well for me on my laptop.
Thanks for the info. I'm not really into the PVE foot soldier thing but I'll apreciate the extra features I'm sure.
I will get one it is just I want a little more over the purchase price, note I am not talking as much as the old advice about how much extra to budget when buying a ship so not 15-25 billion.
I understand, you also have to pay for extra services, I chose Redemption Office because I can get my bounties paid on my Carrier and 25% goes to it, and the essential optional for repair, rearm, refuel and refit, weekly upkeep is 12.431,091 CR. But I don't have too much problems making that sort of money, one good bounty hunting sortie is enough.
For infos on cost...
Drake-Class Carrier
I have never considered the T-7 as a miner, I like something that can deplete a rock much faster, I always used it when I had cargo I wanted to carry without getting interdicted.
I tried Keelback, Type-9, Python, Imperial Cutter, I don't think there is one ship that really come on top, I'm not looking to stay in the field for hours, and the Type-7, once engineered properly seems to be able to do the job.
2 X 6E Cargo Racks (128 Cap). 5A Prismatic Shield GeneratorThermal resistant ︎︎︎︎︎. 1I Detailed Surface Scanner. 4B refinery. 2 X 5A Collector Limpet Controlers. 4 X 1D Mining Laser [Fixed]. 2 X engineered Shield Boosters, I'm at 32.38MW, of 22.85MW deployed.
The ship is nimble and agile enough to defeat interdictions, was easy to engineer with parts from previous ships and new one and cheap (17,472,260 Cr), for what I do it's enough for me, for heavier load I have a well armed and well shielded Imperial Cutter, I don't even try to evade interdiction with it, I get a bounty instead.
