Winter DLC Speculation

I finally finished the new career scenario tonight and unless I missed something, I don’t believe the ending actually hints towards the Himalayas at all. Part of the scenario involves taking in and breeding a Himalayan brown bear that a misguided but animal-loving small time celebrity previously had, and at the end it’s stated that she is going to try and get properly accredited to handle animals by shadowing one of Nancy’s staff members. Absolutely nothing about anyone going to the Himalayas, or anything even referencing the Himalayas in any capacity beyond it being part of the name of an animal that has been around since the base game. Honestly, I’m really confused how anyone could’ve gotten anything else out of the text. I mean, maybe some languages’ translations are much more loose with the script, or maybe I genuinely did miss something somehow, but I kind of doubt it.
Nothing surprising within this community tbh. Always looking for clues where it doesnt even make sense. Remember when people believed the Fall DLC will surely be desert themed, because Frontier tweeted about staying hydrated during the summer? This community can take seeing hints into absurd levels I am affraid.

^ If it were up to me I'd absolutely fill the Zoopedia with what many would consider "reskins". You'd be looking at three more brown bears, at least two more tigers, probably two more leopards, five more gibbons, heck, a dozen more crocodiles, why not? I love diversity of choice practically as much as I love unique species. Generally I tend to stick to the species I see regularly at the zoo myself (which is limiting in some ways) or that I know exist wherever I'm building (which is freer), but even so; I could see myself building "Crocodile Kingdom" or something just for the fun of it, a veritable wall of crocodile habitats.
Same. I wish it would be possible to have it like in Zoo Tycoon (2013) but without sacrificing the Amount of completely unique Animals (All Chimpanzee Subspecies, all Gorilla Subspecies, all Wolf Subspecies, all Zebra Subspecies/Species.....) But I guess we probably wouldn't get it like that in a Sequel if there should ever be one because it would be so much additional Work unless they would get the extremely lazy Route and just reskin and resize them.
Would also make Franchise Mode a little bit more challenging due to it being harder to find Partners for your Animals because not everyone would keep the same Zebras

Also ACP is live in mounatins so if we will get ACP and tassie and like that then it would be awesome. View attachment 330347
🤔 What does ACP stand for? Sometimes the Abreviations can get a bit confusing

African Crested Porcupine I believe

ACP It's mean African Crested Porcupine

One could say the same about the 2 tigers, 2 rhinos, 2 chimps, 2 brown bears so on. Imo the spec. filled an empty niche as a medium sized crocodilian
But in the cases you listed there's always a msjor difference between the two (sub)species in biome, region, morphology, or more.

The two caimans share nearly the same range, same morphology, and same biome.

The singke difference is the spec is slightly largaer and extends to central america. This makes the dwarf caiman rudimentary as an habitat animal.

The slot would've been much better had it gone to an african crocodile, where we could get a new region and biome for the crocodilians.

Aaaand I'm off the mountain hype train again.

To be fair it never made sense to me in the first place.

Tropical pack here we go!

I'd riot if we get another crocodilian.
It's true that an Nile croc or even black caiman would have been better.
What's really problematic with the Crocodilians is that not every Continent has one. I would've actually prefered the Orinoco Crocodile over the Spectacled Caiman but at this Point I agree that we need one from Africa (probably Nile Crocodile because it seems to be the most popular one among the Community)🐊 I'd prefer to get other Animals first before that one though.
If only Frontier would be obsessed with Primates in the same Way they are with Canines, Felines and Crocodilians

🤔
-it will contain Animals
-it will be a DLC
-it will be released together with a Update
In truth, nothing has actually been promised with 100% certainty. I mean, it's very likely we'll get something based on the last three Decembers, and that's what all discussion in this thread is centered around that assumption. But that doesn't mean it's an absolute guarantee.

Not directed at you necessarily and specifically, just a good place to throw out that thought.

We didn't get a new aquatic herbivore feeder animal until the Wetlands DLC even though it was introduced alongside the North America Pack and as @becks474 mentioned we didn't get another animal centered around the new climbing frame either ( and that system in itself was also something that took a lot of technical wizardry.)

So if anything, the previous packs tell us that there's no 99% chance at all that the next DLC will get an animal in the walkthrough exhibit 😅

Guys, i need to ask: If an aviary dlc is announced, how would you react and what realistic options you would choose? This would be my choices:

-Aviary Expansion Pack-
This pack would introduce 25 new exciting bird species, new aviary structures and enrichment items. It would be launched the 20th of December, and it would cost between 15$ and 20$.

-New Structures-
The new structures would be the aviaries. They would have 6 sizes (Small, small-medium, medium, medium-big, big, enormous), with various forms like spheres and cubes and different types of fence like the walkrought exhibit

-New Mechanic-
This pack would introduce the nest mechanic to the normal birds and reptiles in the normal game. The animal will select a zone that will be its nest, and it will start to build it while is pregnant. With the nest or whatever the animal does, if its pregnant will lay the eggs, that eventually will hatch little babies.

-New Enrichment Items-
This pack would introduce some items like nesting trees, feeding sticks and various toys like ropes, balls, chains and tubular toys to the new birds. They can be constructed outside the aviary too, but they will not have use excepting for some toys

-Avian Inclusions-
This pack will introduce 5 new habitat animals and 15 new species to the new aviary structures, the species would be:

-Habitat:
-Emu
-North Island Brown Kiwi
-Grey Crowned Crane
-Greater Rhea (Yes, they are so cool)
-Shoebill

-Aviary:
This animals will only be able to be in the aviaries. Some of them will be able to fly in aviaries but not in normal habitats.

-Blue and Golden Macaw
-Toco Tucan
-Great Blue Turaco
-Golden Eagle
-Harris Hawk
-Great Bengal Owl
-Barn Owl
-California Condor
-Griffon Vulture
-Scarlet Ibis
-Great White Pelican
-Mallard
-Atlantic Puffin
-Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo
-Laughing Kookaburra
-African Grey Parrot
-Anna´s Hummingbird
-Rainbow Lorikeet
-Sun Conure
-Sociable weaver

I know that is not the best list, but is a very good one. We have choices of birds from every part of the world, so for me is perfect. 25 birds should be the minimum for a good aviary dlc, but we really know frontier, so we can´t expect something like this.

Good luck with animal group where every single one requires new rig and animation set.
Additionaly most of them in live rainforests so if we keep in mid frontier is going with seasons, spring is only viable moment of the year to get one or two.
And then each monke has to beat plethora of carnivora to even get considered by frontier lmao.
For 3 last years I have no idea how many times i had to witness rainforest pack concept with atleast 3 carnivorans and ONE monkey.

Maybe people don't want primates afterall and more carnivorans is way to go?
