I usually tend to agree with your opinions, but here I don't. Frontier's main interest imo could (should) be making money and they therefore may have different opinion how to look on players which decided not to buy new DLC (Odyssey). Effect on current Odyssey players is imo kind of collateral damage. Looks not fair, yes, but ... I myself spent on this game numerous times more as is price of base game+Odyssey and not on one account, so I want that this game is working for long time, is working better, have improved look and feel more complex with much more ties between ships and on foot play ... and to be brutally honest with my view, imo Odyssey is future of this game, not Horizons. Therefore I understand that Frontier want to keep kind of pressure on players to buy and enage in new DLC (Odyssey) and do not let them comfortably without any obstacles stay with Horizons which code will sooner or later become obsolete. I really would like that story of ED will move also to "foot", and this clearly is delayed due the need to maintain also "old" content. Frontier did certain decision, it may work for them good or bad, but they definitelly had rational reason(s) (looking on things from their position) why they have decided so.
