I miss him too but I just can't get my head around how badly FD is handling the online aspect of this game.

I've been playing MMOs a lot lately and it really shines a light on FD's lack of action.

Personally I haven't played in months.

Right now I'm an investor's worst nightmare: An unhappy customer who not only refuses to spend more on the game for the time being, but also going out of his way to criticise the game. Hopefully it makes a few people, at least, think twice before hitting that buy button.

Right now I cannot in good character recommend anyone to buy ED. In fact, out of said good character, I'm actively advising against it.

But then I find it amusing that this issue seems to upset you so much when you quite vocally haven't been playing the game for months.

It's very hard to take anything from this that feels quantative. It's so full of PR that it's like hearing a company spiel after a security breach, after which they'll say, "we take your security very seriously". Of course you do.

Here's an idea. Clearly define your actions. It doesn't matter if it's one person or one thousand. A cheat should be an account ban. Permanently. Justifying it with "oh it's not that many in comparison" doesn't make it any better for the rest of us who play fair.

It's just something to think about when you buy any FD product.

We can all only do our little part. But numbers add up, no matter how small.

I never said that I expect to single-handedly ruin FD, not even close. Right now I'm just spreading criticisms, which I'm quite entitled to do, especially outside this forum. Yes, I don't just post here. I have seven other tabs open right now. Three of them are on other websites discussing how much FD has failed as a GM.

The word is spreading.

There are customers, there are fanboys, and there are those who go out with the intention of damaging a company. You have been all three, it seems.

The best way to eliminate cheaters is to make ED a console exclusive

No the best way is to make it semi offline Solo only, with all the BGS, PP and any other background stuff generated by Fdev and downloaded when you log in but not affected by your activities. That way the only person a cheat can hurt is themselves.

He didn’t damage the company, they are already succeeding at that on their own. The writing is on the wall when it came to FDev’s anti cheating response.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't really had this enormous catastrophe influence me in any perceptible way in-game. If I hadn't frequented the forums I wouldn't have noticed the end times were upon us.
