I will stop at the ruins, so if anyone needs screenshots of anything please let me know.
Guiltily glad its not just me! My nice new Diamondback Explorer has been pounded down to 46% hull because whilst moving around the ruins at low altitude I got "deploy landing gear" and "boost" mixed up.
Twice.
IC 2391 SECTOR ZE-A D101 C3
It's one of those that's 337k LS away from the entry point so be prepared for a long supercruise for potentially nothing. I'm going to go and look back at the stream footage.
I like this a lot.
Any chance someone could come check out D101C 3 87.5072/89.9779?
I just had something extraordinarly weird happen, a really loud banging noise then a screech that made me rip my headset off (I don't do well with jumpscares, and this was one) then a crescendo of music that I could hear through the headset sat on my desk. All the while I'm sat looking at this bit of terrain that appears to be stitched in, runs nearly North to South. I dropped into this area because I spotted a crater-within-a-crater that clutching-at-straws very vaguely resembled something from the known ruin site.
I've managed to get this on stream (streaming to twitch just in case I happened to stumble across something interesting) so I have video of it. Either IRL computer ghosts or ED suddenly decided to join in the survival horror genre.
*edit - a relog has fixed the terrain.
So possible bug, unless anyone can give an explanation... I'm currently on IC 2391 Sector E-A D101 C 3, basically I'm on the sunny side, both stars are above and i've got my sunnies on.. However. When i go to the surface map of the planet, it's showing me on the dark side of the planet.. Is this a known bug for map? I do hope they haven't got the xbox co-ords flipped in reverse bug back.. Anyone else getting this? Was the same yesterday when I was on the dark side of the same planet...

Ouch. Protip: As soon as you drop out of glide, set your pips to 4-2-0. The ground is hard an you're not planning on shooting at anything.
I like turtles.
Unfortunately there is no correlation between how the planet is lit in system map and how it's lit in reality. If your planet rotates you can wait at a distance for it to spin on system map until your side lights up, but that's about it.
....Did you play NWN?![]()
I would be very grateful if You can take hi-res pictures straight from above of those *tracks* between the obelisks. Maybe useful for the puzzle.
I call them Quincunxes.
Nice to see somebody thinking along the same lines I was. Means I may not be as crazy as I think I am.
What I've been doing is setting a lock on the moon and set it center on the target nav (may be higher or lower but center lined).
For example at first I line up with the orbit and then note the heading when I hit the planets atmosphere.
Then I set it behind me and kept it relatively center with an occasional adjustment. As you move you "should" get in line with the orbit.
