Better performance all around. There are a few systems where I had some lag, but compared to the last build, this one feels more solid.
There are still plenty of things that needs fixing
1. (others already mentioned it) graphics. Fx/ lighting/shaders/shadows. Brighter/darker systems, shadows/effects, lighting on various objects in space or inside space stations and the cockpit.
2. Low volume of trade items everywhere
3. Incorrect items sold at incorrect locations. Many items sought after in missions or listed as export are unavailable.
4. empty/blank bulletin missions
5. Repeated offers of same missions to same stations
6. Missions given related to trade items, that nowhere to be found (see No 3 above)
7. 2d map of systems need to have a proper scroll left/right/up/down function..only be able to access far-drawn objects from the center stars by "lucky clicking" or nohow.
8. 3D galaxy map need to have a "center on my location" button or similar. It's still feels very raw and unpolished although responsiveness and scrolling is a lot better than previous builds.
9. Equipment info/screen is still very alpha (if you ask me). I have to click each item on each mount to figure out, whether the station has it or not.
10. There isn't enough info given on mountable items of what they do.
11. Super cruise mode needs tweaking (personal opinion). Going to near destinations (under a few thousand light seconds) is managable with fair control over speed and distance. Very far destinations are a nightmare. The super cruise start decalarating too early automatically (calculated half-distance to start slowing?) making the trip excruciatingly long unnecessarily. (example: going towards a station 260,000 ls away would make the engine speed up to 700, but would start dropping speed at 130,000, instead of having the player control the speed vs distance)
12. At super cruise mode, orbit- illustration circles don't go around the planet, they are always on front like a 2D drawing.
(Example: if a station is behind the planet in relation to the player's ship, the only way the player would know if it's behind, if checks back and forth whether the planet is closer or farther than the station orbiting it. )
13. There are systems with millions of populations, but no stations to be found. (Are they on the planets?)
14. Finding planets/heavenly objects in unknown systems is still mostly done with eyesight and looking around while turning the ship. Which century is this again? I understand, that there are other detailed and upgraded discovery scanners, but they start at a million credits and I have no clue about how much they are better than the given "stock" discovery scanner. Do we really want adventure/discover-players to consider just start trading or fighting before they go on their journey, because searching and collecting data is not not rewarding, requires funds that can be only made by switching over to an entirely different playing style?
15. Detailed surface scanner is still kinda bugged. It could be mounted in instead of a cargo or a shield, but not on an equipment mount on the ship. Many think, it's an update to the discovery scanner, not that both needed at once in order to scan systems and planets.
16. Discovery scanner should not be mounted/used as a weapon. Some reported that stations would give out fines for using it near the station, because it's fired like a weapon. Jumping to light speed or super cruise (while it works in supercruise after entering it) should not give me a warning about closing my hardpoints.
17. "Landing gear not deployed" warning , while my landing gear is deployed.
18. Upon landing, the "launch" option should not be highlighted as default. Many seasoned players automatically hit spacebar just as they finish landing, to access the station services, but when "launch" is highlighted, it's annoying to get out/ ask for landing and do the whole landing procedure all over again, because of a stupid menu button.
19. There has to be an option to skip many things. I will get attacked for my post, I'm confident about that, and some will say the usual excuse of "love it or leave it" or "do you want an instant action button" and similar responses, but in this game, there are 200 billion stars to discover, and there is plenty of grinding to do in order to earn credits, which means plenty of take offs and landings from station to station.
I may be weird, but I'm not sure if if I will still be amazed by the animation getting lowered into the "garage" for equipment, or "welcome to xyz station" screen or the countdown to enter supercruise, when it's the 10 thousandth time doing it.
There are plenty more things I can talk about and yes, half of these can by just my own opinion, not bugs, but specific features.
