I did not understand that either. One thing that was made clear is that on live day, all states are going to be reset to [NONE] but influence levels remain as they are.

Yes. That is what they said.

And it seems Thargoids are targeting only system with coriolis. So the others won't be attacked.
 
They kinda answered my questions but not completely.

Influence is locked for the duration of conflict (we knew that). But they didnt confirm what was supposed to happen to inf at the conclusion of conflict.

Actions that should be effective to win the daily war counter:

Bond cashing
CZ "wins" (inc objectives???)
Missions

They intend tweaking the effective values. i would be prepared for some madness once this goes live if I was you!

Only bonds seemed to work the first week, havent tested since
Anyone seen missions or CZ wins do anything?

NOt yet, but stopped testing

According to the livestream CZ wins do have an effect but the value of those effects are too low.

I suspect that there is not sufficient testing volume in the Beta for them to balance properly and it will have to wait until live with all that entails. Gonna be a fun time on the forums - it might be an idea to have a sticky ready for it.
 
Beta BGS seems to be jammed again - I did a load of work to try and move a system yesterday and it didn't move at all - and the 'news' report is stuck at a different value to the sysmap / squadron reports.

I only hope that this is related to the beta servers, not the quality of the BGS code, or it's not going to be fun when this goes to Live
 
Gone through this thread and I can't see anyone complaining of no system traffic stats, am I not looking in the right place?

OK Ignore that with no traffic a 0 report isn't generated, and it takes a while to generate

BGS in live server seems to be stuck from time to time too. I watched 5 systems this morning and they their influences and states haven't changed since yesterday.
 
Has there been any word on how the update is going to effect BGS states at the time of the update? Should be entering into a pending expansion today or tomorrow in our main system, so the actual expansion would be taking place probably right during the Ch. 4 update. Is there going to be any kind of rollback in BGS states during the update?

shameless cross-post, I'm in the same boat, sorta. Our expansion is going to start before 3.3, and is due to finish sometime after the drop.

All I know is all states are being set to None. Whether that's a hard-set where it's just "current state of galaxy but everything is None" or it actually resolves any existing expansion states, I'm not sure.
 
If the beta didn't annoy me enough, we are about to achieve our first expansion from a system where we are not in control. But 3.3 will go live 2 days too early. Max Miffed
 
So if I have been working to get faction to go into Retreat (which they will tomorrow or day after), then they will be saved again when 3.3 drops next Tue/Wed?

Reason they didn't exit our system yesterday was because they were in Retreat in another system first which they left 2nd time :(
 
what will that mean for active conflicts?
I expect that it will be ended as if it had been a draw - no asset transfers or other effects. But I have a sample size of one for previous active conflicts interrupted by Frontier poking the BGS directly, so...
