I understand totally, as I've mentioned before I've got a huge family and my gaming PC is normally plugged into the living room TV, so both my runs involved setting off around midnight on a Saturday night during holiday weekends (and borrowing my daughter's PC monitor for the run).

Thats also why it takes me so damn long to get back to the bubble - I have no idea why I decided to undertake some deep space exploration on the way back this time! Lol.

You've got to admit though, NASA have launched actual real-life space missions with shorter pre-flight planning phases than your Buckyball run! ;););););););) (lots of smilies, so you know that I'm joking. :))

Heh. Granted, that's true enough, but very little of that time was actually spent preparing. Mostly waiting impatiently for enough free time to do it.

It's why I'm not trying to reclaim that record. I feel my odds of succeeding in a single attempt are extremely poor... and I just don't have the time to commit to the multiple attempts I think it would take to have even halfway-decent chance of getting one run good enough.

Well, this is embarrassing. After trekking 1.3kLY out, I remembered that I forgot to take my outfitting screenshot. Currently heading back ;-;

EDIT: I didn't realize Chance- linked the stream... Anyway, back at Lomas, screenshotting and leaving now.

lol that would be something i would do, but i probably wouldn't of noticed until i arrived at the finish line.

Checking in with a quick progress report as I just passed the halfway-back point today (12,500ly from SOL). Jeez, it's been over two weeks, it only took 15hrs to get there, how can it take soooooooooooo long to get back?

Slightly OT but since it's all part of my journey back ..

Best nebula yet and I don't even know it's name (Erimus will be so disappointed in me) :(

Look everyone, I found a space sprout!

.. next stop, the Cat's Paw Nebula. Getting close now!

Mental breakdown

I CAN'T DO IT!!!

Traveling 26000 lightyears isn't the problem. Money isn't even the problem.
We had my Hauler, Distant Bazaar, up on blocks ready to strip, when all of a sudden, I cracked.

The ensuing madness ended with a picture like this (just replace "the house" with "my hauler" and "bypass" with "strip the ship"):

*sighs* I have just grown way too attached to the Bazaar. I won't let anyone strip anything out, not even the stock power distributor!
Strike my run for now. I will reenter, just not in the hauler. I need to find another ship I am okay with stripping. :(

While I think, pass me that pan-galactic gargleblaster, will you?
BTW, sorry my last post was way OT.

changing my ship to a Diamondback Explorer. The Cobra wasn't working out well. :/

CMDR Uberfish
Ship: Diamondback Explorer
Name: Metallic Aardvark II

My bad, plus rep for catching that. Probably lost some nerd cred for that blunder.
still, my point stands. Go watch Armageddon (please don't make me say that ever again) to see more of what I mean. Resessive genes, everybody!
EDIT: Can't rep you right now, can't remember how to do it on mobile, or I'd it is possible. Rough day, apologize for my bad spelling

Man, EZ really is still recovering - there was a top-of-page spot available for over five hours there, and nothing! :p

Since I cannot possibly let my friends Serraphix and Chance- beat me at something, I'm submitting my intent to race :p Fair warning, I do plan on departing in less than 24 hours.

CMDR: Brayzure
Ship: Asp
Ship Name: Valiant

Of course, I have goals. :)

- Goal 1: <24 hours
- Goal 2: <18 hours
- Goal 3: <12 hours
- Goal 4: Top Asp time (like that will happen...)

Seeya at Sadge!

EDIT: T-Minus 12h
I have arrived, with a time of 13h04m38s, or 13h16m05s depending on which of my end screenshots gets counted (messed up my first one).

And here's why plotting is a pain in the core. http://i.imgur.com/5zzBClA.jpg
Well done Brayzure! A really good time and objectives 1 & 2 ticked off. :)

As I mentioned chatting last night, when you were still a couple of hours out, my own first run was about 13h play in two sessions (25h official time). So once you have recovered from your run, explored the core and taken the long, long, long trek back to the bubble you are certainly in with a good chance of completing objectives 3 & 4. It's a lot easier when you already know how to handle the core.

Although there are a few very fast racers preping their Asp Explorers at Galileo, so my top Asp time might well be beaten soon. :D

Just about to set off for a run.

Not doing a speed run, just doing the grand exploration tour... Wish me luck :).

Commander:- Krebsy
