Can the Devs please stop insulting us?

That was in Beta, they listened and changed it before release.

I know. I was part of that "alpha". And they didn't just change it. They removed the interactive element entirely. Now you just stand there and press a button.
A quicktime event was a very poor fit for an exploration activity and we could have told them this before they wasted their time implementing what they did, had they run it by us earlier. They could have implemented something else in it's place that would have been better received.

had they run it by us earlier.
They are not going to 'run it by us' for everything they do, its a waste of time and shows poor leadership, everyone has their own ideas, thats what Alpha's are for, personaly i didnt find the mini game that bad.
Its like real life, i have many years experience i my job, i come up with a plan, i run it past my operations team, we make tweaks then give it the Managers, supervisors and staff to implement.
If one of them comes up with a better idea i will listen but bare in mind there was a reason i wanted it doing that way in the first place 😜

Disagree, and that's a terrible analogy given we're customers and not employees. Unless they actually want to review and sell poorly, in which case by all means go ahead and disappoint the customer base.

Some companies pay good money on focus groups and feedback to serve as litmus tests for their concepts and ideas and this community would do it all for for free.

Especially when it comes to game mechanics that don't even impact the story arcs they want to keep a mystery. All they had to do was throw some ideas out there and see how the players felt about them before gambling their resources unnecessarily.
