Cobra Mk V in-game availability?

The elite dangerous community continues to remind me that the worst gaming communities are the space-"sim" communities....
how many gaming communities do you follow? i would say this place is fairly tame and friendly compared to some

thinking back to the mechwarrior forum when they introduced 3rd person view in game!!!

but for me the most toxic i have ever experienced - so much so it totally put me off the games and largely off competetive MP games with randoms in general

were the counter strike players and DOTA 2 players.....

(for balance....... Deep rock galactic seems to have a really friendly bunch playing that and i had really fun experiences with players in battlefield badcompany .... but also for the most part i think the elite players are a decent bunch too, with a few obvious exceptions, and of those most no longer seem to post here)

a thought: for some who don't have time to play elite as much... purchasing the CobrV, Python 0.2, Type fork... has an advantage.
Point to the corsair for an extreme example of why, The corsair is almost 80million credits stock!
With a 7a power plant almost 40mil and 7a thrusters almost 52mil... suddenly paying to avoid grinding out another 80 mil before you can outfit the corsair becomes very "pay to get your limited time saved"

That’s true.

But I average 5 hours a week atm and have half a billion credits sat in the bank from one Titan bombing run and will receive 85M for taking out one pirate in the current CG.

But that is the reason I brought most of my ARX ships after doing an Ironman character reset and wanting to get back into the action at Sol. - RP was chucked out of the window temporarily.

Personally I don’t see giving people with little spare time the option to skip the grind as a bad thing. It’s only a negative for new players, but someone who’d buy a Corsair out of the blocks is going to be grinding themselves out of the fun early game anyway.

It doesn’t negatively affect my game, so all power to them.

It looks great (which is more than I can say for my Mandy - hmm - and the new EA BeakyMcBeakface - yeuch!).

You know how people hold their phone above their heads when they take selfies, to hide the double-chin and/or gizzard?

It's kind of the same thing with the Mandalay.
It looks fine as long as you only look down at it, so you can't see the beer-belly.

As for the CobrV... now that I could get one for credits....
I am 100% not going to use it
XD
Wow... I knew the looks were going to be a disappointment when I saw the model from the exerior... but getting into the hull and just...
feeling...
"MEA!"

Something about the hard point placement in relation to the cockpit... the overall style shaping... makes me think... This isn't a cobra... THIS IS A VIPER!
ITS VIPER MK5
Don't say things like that!

It can't be a Viper I got one and wasn't disappointed by it.

"Captain's Log, April 24, 3311, well, apparently Faulcon DeLacy's marketing department stopped thinking with the ARX... and just in time, I was about to leave the bubble again, I was save by my delay job, 20k tons of construction materials don't transport themselves, and I had been putting it off for several weeks, at least this time having an excessive amount of work pending benefited me, now I'm on my way to the Jameson Memorial sales room, a new ship is waiting for me."

Trying out the mk5 for bio stuff but getting a load of CTD's while flying over the surface. Need to go grab another ship to see if it's specific to the MK5, the Planet I'm skimming or just ED being ED
