anyone with this ship... can you tell me does it have a shiny new interior, or is it a minor colour tweak to the cobra III a bit like the cobra IV was ?

Like I did. But I won't complain because I had a ton of fun with that ship over the weekend and I had most of the Arrrx needed on my account already(I also had a strong hunch that this would happen shortly after the Easter sale before committing to the purchase, so I have no-one to blame, anyway)
It's all new, and fantastic. Visibility almost all around, on a Lakon View™ level. If you are VR by any chance, you will simply adore that cockpit.
This just tells me you don't spend much time in other gaming communities
It's not perfect here and I've experienced better, but it doesn't come close to ranking on my list of "worst". Not even in the top half. It easily places quite high in communities for being helpful to players.
I have no idea what the mark IV looked like but the V feels very different to the III to me , the instruments are pretty much the same but even if you try and ignore the huge floor window it all seems new.
