I think they were referring to No Man’s Sky.
If there is, its probably 3 more before tomorrow LS, which means 4 characters and no punctuation, or 2 with a full stop & space, or 3 with just a full stop or space that breaks the previous pattern. Or theres 6 coming for 8 characters which could be 'JW-L D-7' type and no punctuation.
No I havent thought about it at all or parked my ship in a 4 digit Sector next to a biological site just in case of something.
The audio made me think we arent getting the final clue through binary so I didnt post any of it in real time, its hanging off the waste bin and just about to fall in as an idea for me.
I wathed the 2nd Dev Diary last night as no LS. They mentioned the graphics were gettig an update with Odyssey. on the forums yesterday I think someone mentioned NMS graphics update or maybe Cybepunk being delayed coz of it? Take your pick

Might be unrelated.... BUT...
Since when do Asteroid Belt Clusters have an animated Spectrum superimposed in the FSS ?
Is that new - or am I just old and just didn't notice during the last 1000 times FSS'ing an Asteroid Belt Cluster (?)
Should I "watch the stones" (Asteroid Belt Clusters) now all the time or something ??!

Summat is happening in Coalsack region, although it may actually end up being in Eol Prou (real tinfoil there - stolen from discord) or Lawd 26 Stones station, with jump drive engines attached may jump out to chase thargoids...

Won't it be a further 20 characters across four blocks of binary in three images?
I also wonder whether the next blocks will contain the reference to the actual location. Or that is contained within the luminosity of the images, perhaps.
To me, it all points to a new Thargoid invasion given the last Thargoid CG was obviously a feint to lure us into a false sense of security by 'defeating' them, and also they could assess our strength....
Most believable explanation I've seen yet.

Could it be that the transmission and the binary are both from Dr Murphy? Maybe he is talking about professor Carvers in both of the messages, which could be two halves of the same one.
Id like to throw the idea around of Dr Carvers getting obsessed and turning mad with a discovery about some stones, which somehow lead to the death of Murphy's crew?
Idk just throwing darts in the dark. I guess they'll give us another treat tomorrow or after the maintenance time

Something very interesting just happened. Was honking and scanning systems for close to 3 hours on my route near the Coalsack nebula... with 4 jumps left, I arrived at a system with two rocky planets and one ice planet. Near one of the rocky planets I detected a biological signal... and I say near because the signal is some ~200000 km away from the rocky planet. I'm heading there now to investigate, it's a long way there so I'll report in 10 minutes if I find something of interest.
