Dragging this comment kicking and screaming back about thirty pages, to put up the list of animals in Planet Zoo that have been mixed with the white-faced saki monkey,
according to their EAZA best practice guidelines:
- Giant anteater (mixed at Sosto)
- Butterflies (mixed at Nuremberg)
- Giant otter (mixed at Aquazoo and Leipzig) - I think at one of these zoos, a saki was found dead in the otter's pool one morning, but it was not able to determine whether it has been drowned in an attack by the otter or just fallen in after dying of natural causes; either way, I definitely wouldn't give them an interspecies bonus
- Yellow-breasted capuchin (mixed at Berlin Tierpark) - not the same species, but it could theoretically work
- Armadillos (big hairy armadillo mixed at Frankfurt, also three-banded at London not mentioned in the guidelines) - again, not the same species but should work
- Additionally, some exhibit animals have been mixed in real-life, but that is obviously not a concern for the game - those exhibit species being the green iguana, golden poison frog and red-eyed tree frog
Most of the mammals most successfully mixed with sakis are absent in the game, such as callitrichids, howler monkeys, agoutis, pacas and birds, which include ground birds such as curassows, trumpeters, scarlet ibis, crested tinamou, sunbittern and ringed teal.
