Jan 27, 2024 All animals up to Europe Pack are present with this update + : ant, crow, fly, howe, baboon, bee, civet, dolphin, lemming, macaw, eagle, lovebird, mammoth, dove, hedgehog, moth, mouse, python, termite, unicorn, vulture, impala, duck, hornet
29 April. 2024: Big Update. Frontier adds dictionary to PZ site and update everything up to Barnyard Pack.
With said update appeared:
goodfellow, secretary, hamadryas, coral, moray, eel, echidna, mamba
the april update includes almost enough animals for an animal pack just saying
- goodfellows tree kangaroo
- secretary bird
- hamadryas baboon
- coral
- moray eel
- echidna
- mamba
this is a very interesting coincident also these coming right before barnyard means that these are likely not scrapped animals because why add them now when the packs that they could of been scrapped from have long since past and were prior to the update earlier in the year, coral and maybe eel are the only 2 potentially relevant to planco2.
looking at the list
- ant, fly and crow are just parts of other words so could of been separated to flesh out the language
- Mouse and lovebird have alternate meanings as a noun.
- Mammoth and from what I remember unicorn appear in zoopedia entries.
- Macaws and bee have at least 1 decal in the game already and baboon could be a generalisation of the mandrill.
- Dolphin could be relevant to planco2 with its coastal theme
the most interesting is howe which we know that the lord howe stick insect was scrapped from australia so why include howe now.
the list of animals that have no explanation include
- lemming
- civet
- eagle
- dove
- hedgehog
- moth
- python
- termite
- impala
- vulture
- duck
- hornet
what is extremely interesting is that alot of these are really strange picks both for animals to add to the game featuring flying birds and small colonial insects and also animals that are extremely odd to be in general conversation such as impala and lemming.
