DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

Sarus Crane is a good shout. It's very easy to be made from Japanese Crane model. The thing I like about them, even tho they're not the most exciting bird pick, is their range, they could be sneaky Australian animal in Indian roster
I didn't even think about that... A zoo relatively near me has a pair of Sarus Cranes in their Australia section, it would be great to recreate that

If we are going back to get 4 packs this year, could it be possible to alternate between animal pack with pieces (spring and fall DLC) and animal packs with exhibit animal (summer and winter)?

I would love to see:
spring - Americas pack with Ranch/Mexican pieces
Summer - India/Asia with cobra
Fall - forest pack with log cabin pieces
Winter - safari pack with chameleon

Imagine quitting the entire game because they added an animal that you don't have to buy lol
It's about the message. If enough people do it, it will show a lack of interest in the new additions to the game and perhaps encourage the developers to do better and actually add new animals and not just, say, the highland cow again or the Indian rhino again. Nobody will care to join this ultimately pointless protest, but I'll stick to my morals.
I'm not paying for another cow with long fur, let alone another rhino. Another elephant I'd be sort of okayish with TBF, although I'd 100% never use it

But jaguars and leopards are super distinct guys!
I mean, they look pretty different, and live in completely different areas.
The only reason why I ever wanted a leopard (key word: a leopard, just one) was completing the big cat roster, and also the fact that, at least where I'm from, leopards are much more common than jaguars.
The yak or the rhino would do absolutely nothing for me, they'd just frustrate me because they'd be completely wasted slots

Personally, whilst I also think that the switch might have been because there were less packs and they wanted to appease both builders and animal-focused players; I'd say it depends on this pack.If it's another pack in the same vain as the ones we had so far, I believe they're probably going to keep this setup as it then probably is a very profitable setup for them.

I'd say there are signs that it might be like that, because on the key art we can already see a new plant wrapped around the Indian column on the right. It's not much to go on, most of the other scenery stuff is way in the back so it's too early to really guess if there's more new scenery in the key-art; but at least there already is some.

So yeah, even if we're moving back to 4 packs this year, I'm still assuming we're in this new format until the end.

Just like yak and highland cow??

It would have never crossed my mind to compare these two as something similar to each other. Just like I was schooled to not see ostrich and rhea as the same thing.
Highland cow is selectively bred small cattle with longer fur to withstand harsh weather of Scotland.
Yak is it's own WILD species from asia/india and is different from other cattle species, especiall the domesticated ones. Yaks are being domesticated too but are not bred to be something else, they are still yaks.
So to me, comparing these two is just like you were defending not comparing jaguars and leopards.
🤷‍♂️

I mentioned it earlier but yeah I'm also fine with the domestic yak. It's maybe 6th in line as far as my regional ungulate priorities go (blackbuck, nilgai, axis deer, gaur, muntjac, then yak) but I think the only scenario where I'd actually be disappointed with it is if we get both it and the gaur but no antelope or something weird like that.

India only has one animal that I personally need (Blackbuck), and we're probably not going to get it considering how it went with the coati in Americas.

Comparing Blackbuck to the Coati is very funny, mainly since u know frontier adore their Ungulates and u have so many examples of ungulates that shows that Frontier can pull a incredible Blackbuck and they prob will- The coati tho barely have any examples cuz of how unique they r and that they require some work.

Like yh it was such a missed opportunity in the America Animal Pack, but if we r talking about India pack, the Blackbuck is prob there (unless Frontier just doing whatever they want and it has 3 more elephants in the pack) but I feel like if u wanted to compare the Blackbuck to anything it should have been the Pampas Grass :) (I'm kidding but ya)

I second this. The elephant is genuninly driving me nuts with this pack, lol.

A Yak wouldn't be such a bad choice in my opinion...
Personally I can understand the feeling of not wanting the yak, but for me it's because we got the wild water buffalo - the exceedingly rare wild form of a far more common and versatile domestic form - and I imagine they'd do the same thing with the yak.

But, as said, I'd take it over an elephant. Of all the 'copy-paste' animals they could have chosen, why another elephant?
