For sure, but it may hint to some long abandoned anniversary animal (like Sumatran Elephant or Tiger) like that Aussie insect, that they then jammed into new pack (if we're still going by theory that these pack weren't planned. We know from before that their pack and animal designing isn't linearThe Dictionary still doesn't have terms for the Zookeeper's or Americas pack species, so it's not that informative, apart from thinking about stuff from Sumatra at some point.
I know it's a more prominent sentiment here, but I'd say that the fact that Frontier went for scenery over exhibit animals most likely points at the fact that scenery packs were still doing well enough to warrant that decision.I mean the writing was on the wall for a while people were slowly getting over the idea of scenery in favour of more animals to fill up the roster so Im not surprised the change happened but given how upset we have been every time the new pack doesn't have exhibits we might see one who knows.
You say that, but maybe that's once again more of a prominent sentiment among us zoo fans and not representative of the larger player base. It's not like they didn't try to innovate when it comes to exhibits, we've gotten multiple variations on it (tortoises, semi-aquatic, sloth, butterflies, bats, ...) so maybe it's really just that exhibit boxes as a whole aren't as popular.Maybe Exhibit Animals would get used if we had more big hitters like cobras, pythons, geckos, and chameleons
JustGoron actually visited this zoo and made a video of it; but people pointed out that they're more likely to be domesticated ones because they don't really match with what wild ones look like.Small correction here, the Central/Kathmandu Zoo in Nepal has wild water buffalo. It’s not much but it’s something.
From what I can find the water buffalo at the zoo are taken from Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, which is home to the last wild water buffalo in Nepal but also some hybridised individuals. This article says that the identity of the buffalo at the zoo was confirmed as wild type in a 2003 genetics study, but in that same study I cannot find the zoo mentioned so whether this is true or not I'm not sure (it's possible buffalo from the zoo were part of the pool of animals used but it just wasn't clarified in the paper itself, or that the zoo individuals are just assumed to be wild because they're Koshi Tappu buffalo). Individuals from the zoo have also been used in conservation programs for the wild water buffalo in Nepal.JustGoron actually visited this zoo and made a video of it; but people pointed out that they're more likely to be domesticated ones because they don't really match with what wild ones look like.
Brb gonna end my suffering before we get the rhinoHeythat's actually interesting
Well, yak is actually two species: Bos grunniens (domestic), and Bos mutus (wild). If we do get a yak, we're probably going to get the domestic one, which is basically just a Highland cow with slightly different horns.Yak is it's own WILD species from asia/india and is different from other cattle species, especiall the domesticated ones. Yaks are being domesticated too but are not bred to be something else, they are still yaks.
So to me, comparing these two is just like you were defending not comparing jaguars and leopards.

Are they? I know next to nothing about Yaks, apart from hiking vlogs, but on those they seem Sheep sizedAnd yet basically they're just the highland cow but bigger
Ay, I'll throw a party if we get Rhino, so it'll even outBrb gonna end my suffering before we get the rhino
The DLCs so far have all had at least one interesting animal that I really wanted... But this one definitely won't. I'm sorry but I'm not paying for two base-game animals again, especially one (the rhino) that I already paid for 2 times already.Okay, crazy thing but: don't buy them, leave the game aside und let the other people have fun, if you do not like the DLCs anymore.
This is the problem with this community: you're simply not allowed to have an opinion unless it's the exact same as everyone else's. You can't dislike this one clone, because everyone wants it, and if you don't want it then your only option is to "leave the game aside". You can't be against the idea of paying for base-game animals again, you can't expect quality from a product you're buying with your own money, no you just have to buy whatever cheap excuse for a product they've churned out this time, be it a new elephant, rhino, or both.Everybody has his own opinion and this is completely valid, but if I don't like the DLCs anymore, then I leave the game aside, but as other said before: You do you
Domestic Yaks can vary a lot in size, but wild yaks are some of the largest species of cattle in the world... Some domestic breeds are very small (including all the domestic Yaks I've personally seen), while other seem to be bigger and closer in size to their wild counterpartAre they? I know next to nothing about Yaks, apart from hiking vlogs, but on those they seem Sheep sized
Yeah I'm guessing it will be on June 10thGuys, we really need to address the Elephant in the room...
(I'm sorry about the pun, but it really is driving me mad)
Soooo... I guess next thing we will know about the pack is directly the official announcement, isn't? No more hints or dev journal like the old days... And when do you think they announcement would be? In about two weeks?![]()

You could always wait for a big enough sale, I suppose. If I'm going to pay for something, I expect QUALITY. If this DLC includes Blackbuck (unlikely) then I may consider buying it, but... Is it really worth it to pay ten bucks for a single animal?
Money is not a problem, it's just 10 bucks anyway, it's not going to have a terrible impact on my life. You could always wait for a big enough sale, I suppose.
Yeah, but I guess that is because this year Easter was too very late? The thing thats throwing me off personally is that the americas pack just came out on the 15th of april, not even two months ago.
No yeah, I get you. My own hunch on this pack's trajectory is already making it a low priority for me. I literally only just started buying dlcs because they're more expensive where I am and they're on sale. This pack has slightly more of interest to me with the badger and macaque already, but I'm not really holding much hope for the rest of the pack to continue that trend when everything else I care about is already here.Money is not a problem, it's just 10 bucks anyway, it's not going to have a terrible impact on my life.
The point is: I don't want to pay for something that I already have. It's a matter of principle.
Look I'm sorry, but no it isn't. We disagree with each other all the time here. We all have things we dislike about the game and we're all vocal about them too. Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion and people do it here all the time. Especially when they're negative opinions, this thread and several other threads are full of those. By others, and by me.This is the problem with this community: you're simply not allowed to have an opinion unless it's the exact same as everyone else's. It would be a first if they are showing us the official artwork but not doing the official announcement in the short term.
