When FD add the update we all want - 15 second log-off timer restarts every time you take a hit - you're going to be screwed playing like that.
Well, it seems you haven't been reading the thread.
1. I stated in the OP that I do this prior to an interdiction actually starting. Quick dropout, no timer. So you'd have to get FDev to implement a timer on all log-offs.
2. Others have suggested alternative approaches to this, which I'll likely take on. Part of this solution is the fact that I'm not experienced like the guys that have been playing since alpha, beta, etc etc, so I was unaware of some solutions.
3. I think it's funny that some of you are so appalled by this approach. Yes, it drops immersion, but as I also stated, I play in a PVE-only group, so it's not like Open pirate players are being screwed over, only NPCs. Unless you are so feeling that you can feel the NPCs pain. Perhaps you can, though then I think your name would be SpeakerToNPCs rather than SpeakerToAliens...

+1 from me....and a rep point for pointing out how pathetic the OP is. And I would consider it using an exploit.
Call it what you will, I still consider it a valid solution concocted prior to discovering alternative solutions, and using in-game functionality. But I'm also someone who wasn't offended by everyone taking advantage of the Sothis mission payouts.
It's a game, and only NPCs are losing out (the way I play), so who cares? Not me
