Much as I respect anyones right to spend their money any way they choose , I cant see the reasoning to spend all that cash on a DK2 when it is clearly an unfinsihsed bit of kit. Once it has hi res screens that are pixel perfect in every way I just dont get it.
If you can afford to buy these toys just to see what the future might bring then fine, good on you. The rest of us will probably wait until it actually offers what it should, eventually.
Could you please make it clear whether you've given the DK2 a try.
I tried Kerrash's DK1 last year, and I knew I wanted one then. I didn't sign up for the DK2 immediately. I didn't want to get in the way of developers getting their kit, and I was also scared that my technical ignorance would make the headset too difficult to set up.
I ordered mine after I'd heard that thousands of the things had been sold. Anyone actually writing a game for it will get theirs before mine, and there was a massive community out there that I could ask for help if I got stuck.
The video resolution is less of a concern for us old crinklies. I'm used to playing retro games that have similarly huge pixels.
