Had a very long session last night, did some talking with another commander at a station then did a delivery mission and finally got stuck dog fighting in a asteroid field, was so fun. Really felt like I was there.
Perfect 75fps lock constantly, even in stations now, all graphics maxed.
Just a bit sad with the resolution. I know it won't feel as nice any more to dog fight with oculus rift when I get back my viper. Since it only has a small window forward. :<
I really wish I could find that info on how to enable the screen output of the oculus rift again so I could stream this but I can't find that thread anymore. :<
Anyone know what setting you needed to do to enable that debug output window to your normal screen?
I hope it's not necessary as my rift is hooked up to a large LED TV that runs at 60hz. I think it does support 75hz via the ATI Control Panel but only at some ridiculous low resolution.
Let us know if that does make a difference if you do end up testing it out.
Thanks.

I think your point of view for the system map is inside the star. and what you're seeing is the star highlights.
I haven't figured out how to move in the system map - my joystick appears to move a cursor sideways over the various planets, and the info menu changes as I select them, but I can't zoom back to actually look at the whole map.
Anyone had any success with that?
Yeah Asteroid belts are really intensive, (forgot about those) you have so many draw calls to the GPU, that is something that will need to be optimized by the Dev team. It all depends on the complexity of the shaders, lighting and transparency of the FX's. but all that will come with time.
In development, First, it's about making things look good. Second, it's trying to make them look just as good with less demand on the hardware.
After some tweaking, the performance (outside of stations) is really god now... the colors however... it looks like there is a problem with lighting, or something. Space is pitch black, shadows are far to hard and station interiors are too bright... and that's on low gamma settings. On high gamma, everything just looks washed out.In short, while the game runs better then it did in beta1, it doesn't look anything like the single display version.
What CPU and GPU(s) are you using to Max Settings at 75 fps with a DK2? Wondering what I need to upgrade my 4770 and 780Ti to?!!
Uninstalled 13.12, updated to 14.4 and now everything is buttery smooth on max settings at 75fps. Crossfire appears not to be working, but who cares.

I don't think so, since I don't.The only thing I can think that might be causing it is that I'm running the game supersampled at 1440p rather than 1080p.

Getting rid of the "washed out" look is possible by opening the galaxy map and closing it again, but the brigt interiors and too dark space/rest seams to be either a lighting bug or something else... dunno yet.
I tried pretty much the same you did, but it didn't get rid of it.
I'll do so too, most likely... problem is, the only thing I have to go by on how it "should" look is single display mode, and I'm not quite sure it will ever look like that on the rift, although it did in the previous alpha/beta phases.I had to repeat the steps I tried multiple times but eventually I got it working.
If I get home and have the same issue tonight I'll try a more methodical approach to try and work out exactly what it is that fixes it.
